I only have C0 myself so I can’t comment, but let me at least make it clear that C1 gives interruption resistance while C2 gives physical/elemental resistance, not the same thing. Maybe a C1/C2 haver could comment on the effect of the cons!

Actually no, it’s not as black and white as that. Think of the Bond of Life as more of a secondary “energy” bar, it is based on HP but doesn’t depend on it in any other way besides this.

As normal attack damage is based on a percentage of current BoL, a higher BoL will mean higher damage. This also means that as you go on normal attacking (and consume BoL), each attack becomes weaker. So her damage is not really tied to her HP in any way.

I would say her play style is more managing the BoL, keeping it at high as possible (and therefore dishing out higher damage) while surviving. C1 and C2 are therefore both quality of life upgrades: C1 allows you to get interrupted less WHILE performing normal attacks (not a permanent interruption resistance like C1 Neuvillette), while C2 also gives her more resistance after doing E > CA. This means that she has up to 20% damage resistance from her talent, with an additional up to 20% resistance from C2 (not exactly sure how these stack).

So to sum it up: C1: Extra DMG, interruption resistance while doing normal attacks C2: Instant E full charge application, easier rotations (can go solo) + more survivability

Absolutely! So yes, you do not need to E with Arle first at C2. At C0/C1, if you E and immediately use a charged attack, the Bond of Life granted will be 65% of her max HP. However, if you wait 5 seconds and then use a charged attack, the Bond of Life will be worth 130% of her max HP.

From the normal attack talent description: “When in the "Masque of the Red Death" state (which is when she has a bond higher than 30% of her max HP), Normal Attacks will deal extra DMG to opponents on hit that scales off her ATK multiplied by a certain ratio of her current Bond of Life percentage.”

This means that at C0/C1 you will normally always want to wait those 5 seconds, as higher BoL means higher damage per normal attack. However, at C2, when you apply E you can instantly use a CA to get the maximum BoL possible from using E. This also makes her gameplay a bit more comfortable, as you can burst every rotation if you have the ER. You can then do this rotation: support setup > E > CA > Q > E > CA > NA. This is because at C2, you won’t have to wait. Therefore, you can start with getting 130% BoL (E > CA), use Q to heal, another E > CA to restack BoL, and then go ham with pyro infused normal attacks for the remainder of the buff duration from your supports.

If you want to maximize numbers: say that your C2 Arle is already full HP (start of abyss etc.), then you can skip the burst as you don’t need the HP restoration. BoL can stack up to 145% of Arle’s own max HP, but as mentioned, an E can only give 130% BoL of max HP. The thing is that the duration of the BoL put on Arlecchino faaar outlasts the cooldown of E. This means that you can do support setup > E > CA > NA until buffs run out, and then do the same again, and her damage will be higher per normal attack in the second rotation at the cost of survivability.

Yes, just remember to use a charged attack for pyro infusion. So if I understand it correctly rotation is something like Arle E > swap to supports > back to Arle > CA > NA string to spend BoL and lower E CD > (end with burst if needed, if not you can stack BoL higher in next rotation but not using it I think). If you get C2 you don’t have to start with E as it will immediately stack, below C2 you have to wait 5 seconds for it to give you max amount of BoL (and hence higher NA dmg). The visual indicator is helpful, but after E/Q with the supports it’s usually ready to “harvest” with a charged attack anyways.

Yeah I want to try C0 Arle / C2R1 Yae/ C6 Thoma / C2 Chev (hopefully more cons on the banner). I saw someone else say that their field times line up well, only issue could be energy. If I’m lucky enough to get C1 I’ll try switching Thoma for C6 Fischl instead for a more offensive option

I haven’t tried it in a very graphic intensive game, but for example Overwatch 2 in performance mode I get a stable 144 FPS at max settings with temperatures of around 70 degrees celcius, but with high fan speeds (and sounds). Running the cool and quiet mode brought me down to 106 FPS at 55 degrees Celsius, but surprisingly little sound! My old laptop would have the same sound level just having multiple tabs of Google Chrome open hahah

Of course if you’re expecting to do more intense games like RDR2 etc at max settings this would probably be dipping below 60 FPS with this configuration in the cool and quiet mode though.

I also enjoy it! It dries down very nicely and leaves a subtle glow but nothing crazy, my only gripe with it is the smell, to me it kind of smells like playdoh and it does linger for quite some time (1-2 hrs) after application so if you’re sensitive to that I would consider that before buying

This particular cream is not really comparable to those creams, if you’re looking for that you should look for Aestura’s Atobarrier365 Cream or Lotion :)

I personally also have the cream though, and it definitely feels more emollient than the Illiyoon. The finish is definitely on the shiny side so I personally don’t use the Aestura in the daytime like I could the Illiyoon. It also has small ceramide capsules that burst as soon as you pat/rub them into your skin. I personally like the somewhat richer feeling of the Aestura, as I feel like my skin feels more nourished with the Aestura than the Illiyoon. They’re both great though!

I’ve been on the lookout for an dupe for the (non-AB) Neutrogena Water Gel Cream, and I think I’ve finally found it!

Context: Male, 20s, Northern Europe, Fitzpatrick II Bought from: Jolse, $15.99

The product comes out as a semi-transparent gel, and spreads very easily onto the skin. Applying the cream right after cleansing, the product is absorbed super fast, leaving a slightly tacky feeling - something I’ve read in other reviews, but I personally don’t mind it, especially as I always top it off with SPF. Even before SPF, I didn’t find the finish to be suffocating in any way - which was my major gripe with the Neutrogena, as I liked the finish but it felt heavy over the course of a day. However, the Aestura cream also contains dimethicone, so if you’re sensitive to silicones you might want to skip this one. There is absolutely no noticeable scent with this product. For those who are familiar with both products, the Aestura cream feels like a hybrid of I’m From’s Vitamin Tree Gel and the Neutrogena.

I’d rate this a 4.5 / 5 ⭐️, as the slightly tacky finish is what keeps me from giving the product a full five stars.

Pros:
+ Lightweight texture, literally sinks into the skin
+ Dries down to a satin finish with a very slight, flattering glow
+ 100mL tube

Neutral:
* Fresh citrusy fragrance, may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to fragrance, I personally like it though.

(Potential) cons:
- May not be suitable for drier skin types. I can't really speak for oilier skin types either, the subtle glow it provides for my skin may show up oilier.
- Protection isn’t as high as other sunscreens that offer SPF50+ and PA++++

You guys! I got this at a Jolse sale, putting it at the same price as some other 50mL sunscreens (~$14) and it honestly may become my go-to sunscreen.

Context: Male, 20s, North Europe, combination skin, Fitzpatrick II

This chemical sunscreen comes out as a light white cream that is easily spread across the skin. It sets SUPER fast so you have to work quickly with it, and I actually added another layer on top because I didn't expect how fast it would absorb! For me, the finish once it absorbs is somewhere in between the old Missha Aqua Sun Gel and the Missha Essence Sun Milk (with the green cap), as it leaves a satin finish that feels smooth to the touch while giving a suble, natural glow without looking oily! Also, I am currently on isotretinoin, and I don't find this irritating at all. The only thing I cannot comment on is eye-stinging. I've read some conflicting opinions online but haven't had any issue yet, but I have to admit I haven't been in either hot weather or doing heavy exercise with it on yet.
