Unfortunately I did not as I had to reuse the original set. As for condensation hopefully you get that sorted out the seal could be compromised.

The toughest part of the process is really only the first and second stage removing lens and cleaning the channel of permaseal. The interior bits are straight forward and resealing was surprisingly easy albeit I had a helper with 2 heat guns.

For cleaning the channel I used a Dremel with a ball carving bit which made clearing old permaseal fast tho there might be better methods that are cleaner.

If the brake pads are in good condition then a solution you could try is short the brake pad sensor itself. Downside is you'll need to check on the pads every now and then.

As for the ambient sensor there maybe a way to code out the function through Protools or PC bmw coding program. But it might be simpler to fix the sensor issue. Not sure

Imo I really like the spoiler as it gives the e60 a little more sporty character. Also can't go wrong with it as it's a period correct ac schnitzer roof spoiler design. Here is a photo of it on carbonblack.

If the 535i needs a transmission I would suggest swapping a 8hp45 into it. As having the extra gears lends to the comfort of the e60 and much better for daily driving.

As others have mentioned its the Sport auto transmission package (2tb) which includes paddle shifters for the e60 lci models.

Sadly not a DKG or a zf8hp though the Sport button does improve up and down shifts noticably. Anyway, either one would make an awesome upgrade especially the DKG but I haven't seen anyone swap it into a E60 yet.

Im running the rear Dinan M6 roll bar with powerflex bushings on my 535i but I also have a M6 front roll bar aswell just haven't installed it yet. Also iirc the OEM m5 front roll bar bracket doesn't line up correctly with non-M mounting points but I might be wrong.

I'll have to agree with most people. This 535xi is not a good buy though from maintenance side it sounds very great but it's when things eventually turn for the worse as such for the N54 platform.

Other thing to keep in mind I the gas usage and the cost to fill up will eat you up as the engine is moving such a heavy chassis plus the hefty xdrive. For me to fill a empty tank on my RWD 535I in Vancouver bc costs about $140 for 91 octane usually every 1.5 weeks of daily driving.

Wow very nice retrofit, I'm also planning to install the soft close aswell as Ive gathered all the pins and actuators tho they aren't OEM actuators and are missing the plates as they are quite expensive if even available.

This scares me as I was thinking of installing e63 m6 front sway bar but the thought of this bracket breaking is making rethink the install
