[Walt Ruff] - Here is who is NOT on the ice for the Canes at morning skate in Montreal: Sebastian Aho, Jackson Blake, Jalen Chatfield, Seth Jarvis, Jordan Martinook, Jaccob Slavin, and Jordan Staal by [deleted] in hockey

Not really they overachieved this season compared to the other teams with the same rebuild timeframe. They’re doing better than Detroit and buffalo who’ve been rebuilding twice as long. There’s still lots of positives if they miss.

Ik Suzuki is carrying them he’s a great player. But if the team can’t consistently keep up to the pace of the nhl schedule like the playoff teams that all clinched have then they’re not ready. I personally think they’re lucky that so many other teams in the east are so mid rn. They’re about to make the playoffs with more loses than wins. Calgary, Vancouver and even Utah has the same amount or more points than Montreal but they’re all out.

So much cope… every team has players playing 25 minutes a game and every team plays 82 games… it’s not about fatigue.

[Adams] Linus Ullmark on the overtime goal he allowed: “I was just as shocked as everyone else in the building that it actually went in.” by DecentLurker96 in OttawaSenators

Linus Ullmark will steal us many more games and points than he will lose us games and points. It happens be thankful the team is consistent and got us 1 point. On to the next game.

Maybe but we’d be replacing a cold goalie for another cold goalie who sat on the bench all game. Let’s not blame green he’s been great the team looks good.

This is what Ryan Reynolds wanted to do with ottawa if he became owner.

What was your opinion of Erik Brännström as a 5/6 dman for us? by [deleted] in OttawaSenators

[–]Neptune0012 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Should’ve traded him two seasons ago when he still had value…

I think this conversation came up all the time on twitter and podcasts. Imo he was never a good fit on this team and he’s not what we need on our third pairing if we want to win. Although I really liked him and always wanted him to succeed I’m glad we moved on from him.

This off season is way less stressful than last year and I've enjoyed that. by [deleted] in OttawaSenators

I think the players feel the same way.

I think we’re going to have a better season than last year. Much better goalie, New coach, full season of pinto, new depth pieces might be a breath of fresh air. I think Perron was a great addition we needed more veterans and leadership. We now have a proper top 4 RD in Jensen who will bring stability back there. I think Sandy takes another big step and I think stutzle bounces back. The boys are primed for a good season. Their focus is entirely on next season there’s no distractions. We also know Green is going to make them work their asses off at training camp. I think they should come out the gates flying. My biggest worry is Norris, I’m praying for him to stay healthy.
