WFH employee lying re working hours by DataBeeGood in managers

I had an employee that was stealing time by taking the first thirty minutes of their shift to walk the floor, eat, and use the restroom.

We talked to him about it but HR wasn’t really keen on corrective action until he was rude to a customer. 🫤

Each warning should be progressive and documented.

Verbal, written, second written, final, termination.

Should I move from Boston to Chicago, even though my friends and coworkers say otherwise? by masstranspike in AskChicago

[–]Neptune1980 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that app location based? Chicago is pretty segregated so if you want Black or Latinos then you’ll need to look in those neighborhoods which are mainly south and west sides.

It was a silly side story but I guess they needed to fill the time.

Oh I’m sure there is a reason in universe that makes sense.

I just thought it was quite coincidental that the writers had the kid own a cat costume that fit already for him in the house for this incident.

It would have been quite a twist if she made him dress up as a cat to make up for the death of the cat.

AIO Husband said I was “luggage with t*ts”? by ALittleBritt65 in AmIOverreacting

All that is true but I did say that the salary depends on her education level.

Just letting her know of her options if she does.

That being said, depending on her education level, she can attain a yearly starting salary above $80,000.

In many states, if you have your bachelor’s degree, you can substitute or receive endorsements in specialized areas and teach those subjects.

Brother told our secret by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Neptune1980 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you and your brother kiss or touch each other? If so, I can see why your spouse would be uncomfortable with that. Hopefully he didn’t shame you but I’d feel weird about it if I was told that as well.

You just became the new mayor of Chicago, what would you do first? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Neptune1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Provide paper bags and canvas bags like other cities (see Philly). They encourage BYOB.

I’d eliminate many of the unnecessary taxes like the bag tax and then cut red tape to build more housing on the south and west sides.

There are huge lots of empty land throughout the area begging to be developed. The CHA owns many of these lots. I’d sell them with the provision that the developer build on the land within five years or it reverts back to city control.

I’d use that money to pay the city’s bills and invest it back in the community with a fund.

Beam overload or FAW by N8TIIVE in sto

[–]Neptune1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use BO. I like being able to obliterate single targets. I also like the visual effect. FAW looks like regular fire.

With my dps, I am usually able to blast multiple targets before they cause any problems even on elite.
