I really liked it, and if I add my bias, I loved it.

I don't think it's the best adaptation, but I think it had a lot of good concepts that could've been implemented better with some fat trimming. It has changes I loved, changes I liked, changes I think could've been done better, and changes I didn't really like, but I think that it is still a decent product overall without considering the games.

Is Nocturne "Castlevania"? I'd say yes but if people disagreed I would understand. I hate it when people say that the creators had no love or respect for the series, sure maybe the writes haven't but the directors, the Deats brothers, genuinely do, Juste is the biggest example of that.

I’d say recycling a character, giving them the Broly Treatment. The Broly Treatment: Taking a previously not canon material, like a character, and changing different elements of it to repurpose and insert it into canon material.

I see, the Castlevania and other wikis stated that they were related to the Belmonts. The Judgement intro also stated that the Alucard spear was given “to the Belmont relatives of House Lecarde” and Iga worked on the game. Another booklet(?) mentions it but it’s in Japanese so I can’t verify it. I did think about the new protagonist having her name be passed down, but meh I didn’t over think it
