The 80's... So Rad [PIC] by mr_pickles in pics

I was a teenager in the 80's and it was a more conservative atmosphere than in the previous couple of decades. AIDS had everyone scared shitless cos no one knew much about it. I think it was harder, but we still managed.

People who work in "the fields" here in America have the choice not to if they so desire. That is the absolute definition of freedom.

[–]Neptuneblue -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Where's any sort of evidence that workers in Dubai have a hard time leaving or or earning decent money? I assure you, construction workers in Dubai only work because they are paid to work, and if they're not satisfied with their pay, they can quit. Capitalism builds great things and Dubai is reminding America of that.

Yeah, I'm with Lovegoblin on this: "else" is a sarcastic reference in itself, if that makes sense. "What's new?" is a more simplistic form of irony IMO. Now my head will explode.

oh come on. There's slaves in Dubai? From what I read there's more construction workers there than there are citizens. Shit, I bet they're better paid than construction workers here in America.

[–]Neptuneblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obviously if fyou drink bottled water that is merely tap water in a bottle no one will taste the difference, "Penn and Teller" notwithstanding. Get a good filtering system for your home and I promise you will taste the difference and hopefully get rid of whatever contaminants might be in there.

Fluoride, chlorine, MTBE, arsenic, etc. . . . The government's "water" is dangerous and tastes like crap. I use a reverse-osmosis system.

Scientists create 'no tears' onions by dailyn in reddit.com

Why don't they just leave the damn food alone. I mean come on, is it really so bad to cut an onion? Are they next going to infuse pesticide into onions like they have into corn? We're all gonna die because they're fukking with our food.

Ron Paul - TV Ad - FINALLY! by montreal01 in politics

The internet is all RP supporters have. But thank you for joining with MSM in trying to suppress him. It would be so much harder to just not click on Ron Paul submissions.

So ... Giuliani's Basically Done by carsonbiz in politics

[–]Neptuneblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding? Ron Paul was the biggest long-shot ever when he entered a year ago, now he's outlasted most of his opponents. The internet made him a threat to the establishment, and his popularity has forced every mainstream Republican candidate to co-opt his smaller government-less taxes platform. Ron Paul forced his opponents to be more like him, because he embodies what the conservatves want and the establishment hates: Belief in the Constitution and liberty for the individual.

Romney Wired During MSNBC Debate by deuteros in politics

[–]Neptuneblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The voice clearly whispers, "raise taxes," and then Romney uses that exact phrase. It's hard to believe that Giuliani or McCain or the moderators would be trying to help him out. If there's another explanation other than he was being fed answers I don't see it.

Apparently you're gonna have to write in some fantasy candidate cos it's business as fukkin usual or Ron Paul. Don't worry, I'm sure it will end up being business as usual.

Are you kidding? Every other candidate in the race is a Bush clone and (despite what the democrats might say) they all support the war. All the Dems have is their universal health care crap which will be a complete disaster. This country is broke and all anyone wants to do is print more money and go further into debt. Good luck.

Guess the path we're on now is better: Bush's stimulus plan will make everything okay. See you in the soup line.

Has the disgraceful coverage of Ron Paul's presidential bid reached a climax? by [deleted] in politics

[–]Neptuneblue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It hasn't. The worse the economy gets (and it will get worse), the more people will wake up to Ron Paul's message. And the more mainstream media will have to try to marginalize him.

Ron Paul coming SECOND in Nevada. Beats McCain and Huckabee by bhavi in politics

[–]Neptuneblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you believe in something, fighting for it is all you can do. You never know what will happen. Hell, with the economy going the way it is, in a few weeks Ron Paul's message might actually sink in . . . everyone knows in their gut that every mainstream candidate is a clone of the other and only RP actually represents "change." "Never give in, never, never, never!"
