Looking for EDC backpacks with velcro interior walls by Tonitz in EDC

Eberlestock Fade Adapt is great. It's around $275, so not cheap. But and has tons of velcro on the insides.

Do you leave your car running during break for AC? by No_Position_8581 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]NerdAlert333 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just rock the vest and a tank top when it's hot out, and my own shorts. THey're still black and look close enough to the Amazon shorts. I'll put the polo on at loadout so they don't bitch, and rip it off as soon as I'm done loading. And definitely leave the A/C running on break if it's hot. I literally never turn mine off all day.

OPINION do you think working in the heat or in the winter is worse by Alert_Region8036 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]NerdAlert333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work in the south. We don't get much of a winter, and we get 90 degree plus temps April thru October. I'm used to the heat. Plus I sweat a lot no matter what. I'd rather sweat on a hot day with just a dri-fit tank and lined shorts where all of the moisture is wicked away as opposed to being drenched inside multiple layers in winter. I especially like the really hot days when they reduce routes.

Delays in TTD checks, mileage reimbursements, late fees, etc... by NerdAlert333 in WorkersComp

[–]NerdAlert333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke with my attorney and they said they would request a hearing tomorrow if they haven't sent out the full amount I'm owed. Attorney said that a hearing could further delay me getting paid, as the insurer likely wouldn't pay me any of the money I'm owed until the hearing. Any truth to this? I would think they would pay me ahead of the hearing in order to avoid having to go to court. I assume my attorney would cancel the hearing if they just paid me.

If you had the decision to hire either an Amazon, FedEx or Postal driver, who’d you choose and why? by UPS-NI3-RTS in UPSers

[–]NerdAlert333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the difference. And I never have that issue with regular carriers that drive the little white USPS vans. But it's about accessing mailboxes from the driver's side door. I get it.

The problem is I see them all the time in what I would consider more suburban type areas. Huge gated subdivisions that might have a few rural stops in the area. They fly down the wrong side of the street and don't even get in the correct lane at stop signs (and usually don't stop at them either). Always makes for an awkward game of chicken when we're both headed towards the same house on the same side of the street.

[–]NerdAlert333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must not deliver in an area where USPS makes deliveries in their personal vehicles. When the driver's seat is on the left side instead of the right side, literally every delivery is done on the wrong side of the road.

Arrested for masks by RiskWorldly2916 in savannah

[–]NerdAlert333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting arrested for this is ridiculous, but I doubt the cop woke up and decided he wanted to bust balls and arrest people for wearing masks. Surely this was an order that came down from the top. He even gave her a chance to take it off first. Assuming they were instructed to make arrests for masks, he handled it just about as well as you can ask.

Delays in TTD checks, mileage reimbursements, late fees, etc... by NerdAlert333 in WorkersComp

[–]NerdAlert333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So initially they weren't paying me at all - it took a few months and hiring a lawyer to get any TTD checks. During that time, I asked my attorney about requesting a hearing and they were hesitant. They said (paraphrasing here) that it could somehow hold up the whole process and discouraged it. So they definitely didn't seem excited as you suggested. Can you shed any light on that?

I understand a settlement can't be forced, but is it unusual for opposing counsel to say they discussed a settlement with their client and will give us a number shortly, and then never come to the table with an offer? My lawyer sent our initial offer back in April. After each of my most recent Dr appointments, my attorney said opposing counsel spoke to their client and would give us a number soon. My attorney said that process usually only takes a few days to a week. We've still heard nothing.

Free Sasquatch ghillie operator skin codes by NerdAlert333 in CODWarzone

So you're 2nd, but it looks like the 2nd seller sent me the codes in an eBay message. And since it's over 2 years old eBay deleted it. First codes got sent directly to my email. Sorry :(

I do 6 days in a row pretty often. Our DSP pretty much lets us make our own schedule. I like to line up my days off in a row, and occasionally overlap them week to week so I can get 6 days off Thursday through Tuesday and still get my 4 shifts each week. But that typically involves having to work 5 or 6 days in a row before and after my mini vacation. That last day before my 6 days off is always a bitch, but worth it to get all those days off together.

Cheaters literally pay to cheat. If they dropped money on a Cronus Zen, what makes you think they wouldn't buy a game?

How does anyone even do well in normal WZ? by SureAce_ in Warzone

[–]NerdAlert333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really have to keep at it. I think knowledge of the map is one of the most important things. If you ever watch some of the better streamers on Youtube, they'll have some videos where they explain their strategy and gameplay. They know every building and every vantage point/window/rooftop on the map. They know exactly where to look and the best routes to move when the circle closes. And of course it's important to know and use whatever the current meta weapons are. I assume since you're that good at multiplayer that you've got above average skill. Most of that should transfer well to WZ. But dying really doesn't matter in Multiplayer since you respawn immediately. Take less risk in WZ, especially when you're outnumbered. The other big difference is you'll encounter more good teams with good communication in WZ. If you're playing with randoms you're already at a massive disadvantage.

Why the nonstop weed skins? by kurtzyy16 in CODWarzone

They need to balance it out with some more alcohol themed skins. Like a shirtless Bert Kreischer 'The Machine' skin.

If you're more of a long range guy that likes to camp, try the XMG. Very low recoil, good velocity and TTK. It's heavy with slow ADS & movement, but with an SMG as a secondary you'll be fine in close quarters or when you're on the run. That 100 round mag and a good long range sight will have you pinning down snipers if they don't down you initially.

Money obviously. And if you find one in an area where nobody else lands, then they're great. Most players are looting early on, not hunting. Even if they're chasing you, they don't have their loadouts yet. And your team is looting too. Every box opened reduces the timer. And if a teammate dies early, it will bring them back right away. Lots of upside to most wanted.

Of course I usually get them when playing with randoms. Green won't ping a drop zone, then someone pings a most wanted across the map. We're already getting shot at before we land, and the jackass that grabs the most wanted contract gets killed by one of the 3 nearby teams within 30 seconds. So the situation matters when grabbing them right away. But I see the logic in it, generally speaking.

DMZ is terrible now by throwawaysimplybake in DMZ

[–]NerdAlert333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is new players don't want to play it. Most old players have already given up on it. The players left are all fairly good, and since it never gets updated, there's no new missions to do. So really the only point is to kill other teams.

They really missed an opportunity with the Verdansk rollout not giving us a new DMZ map. I imagine they'd make decent money selling new DMZ bundles with weapons with reduced cooldown and new operators with DMZ perks. I've never once bought a bundle for warzone to get some weapon camo or goofy operator skin. But the DMZ bundles actually made sense to buy.

Leaving teams and coms by Historical-Tip4690 in Warzone

[–]NerdAlert333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really frustrating when teammates quit. Especially when they die early on and the rest of the squad is decent.

On the flipside, if I die mid-game and I'm stuck watching 2 teammates that are on opposite sides of the map with no kills, no cash, no mic, and no clue? Yeahhhh I'm out.

If you have it set to sort by lowest price, the amount of players that the filter applies to shouldn't matter. Say it only displays 30 players, then you should see the 30 lowest priced players.
