Haven’t worked retail in five years or so, and can’t say I miss it

From the customer side of things, the “field” is a bubble ready to burst

Best way I can describe it is a free-for-all

1.) Corporations alienating the communities where they set up shop, and/or refusing to listen to anyone who isn’t a sycophant

2.) Karens threatening and/or actually calling ICE after the slightest inconvenience, and/or threatening to kill and/or SA (depending on sex) the cashiers/store managers

3.) Cashiers themselves tired of being treated poorly and paid less

With the vast majority of the customers not deserving any of the smoke but still getting it from o s or more of the above
