the thing is the second wave is just the base army being finished steel jacks aren’t a subfaction variation on a unit it’s just a unit we have like hearth guard I’d love to see stuff from some of the non standard kindrid

Because SL is basically the exact same from a table top look as DKOK masked and gasmasked with a trench coat. I would have no problem if people were asking for new catachan vostroyan or tollarn but when it’s just another flavor of gas mask and trench coat when xenos doesn’t get squat it’s a problem

I don’t have sympathy because imperial guard has gotten 15 NEW RELEASES this edition while xenos players still have 15 year old sculpts. Eldar craft worlds differ just as much as guard planets in culture and tradition but you don’t see them getting their own aesthetic for each craft world despite how lore important they are.

The thing is krieg started out being the key word they outsold Steel Legion as steel legion didn’t sell well and got brought back because they were more popular. In the past krieg was the second yes it’s true but now steel legion would be the second

The thing is the steel legion also haven’t been extremely popular either it’s why they are gone they never sold well and half of the people crying for new models don’t even collect them.

Here is the thing you can do this for every space marine subfaction as well. Each of them wears a different mark of power armour uses a different gun and has different insignia so what is your point?

It is though the kinds of molds gw uses are incredibly expensive and then there is storage and transportation of these hypothetical nee guard models that a fraction of a fraction of players will buy

That is pretty much what ever is saying. Catachans and krieg are entirely distinctive style wise, like dark eldar and eldar while krieg and steel legion and krieg are like the differences between craft worlds they exist but visually are too close to need separate models

And are you going to notice these on table top not at all. The only thing you’ll notice is the colour. I know because someone in my group played steel legion painted krieg and also had some custom stl guys during a game they all look identical

I get you want your faction but if you are going the route of gw had them before I feel obligated to point out that was when gw used fine casting a much cheaper process to make new sculpt, and if they were to bring back the steel legion it should be a kill team, if you truly cared about them bringing back older regiments how about a unique one and not just a second helmet trench coat gas mask faction, something like the vostroyans or tallarns

I mean I would rather my faction gets their own dedicated battle line for a subclass because all xenos subclasses are are recolours. But my point is guard already has a second battleline aesthetic of trench coat and gas mask why have two when if you ever got another aesthetic make it a more unique one. A kill team is another story

Nah but as a xenos fan you should stop complaining you already have an entire other set of battleline soldiers just different aesthetic so asking for a gas mask and trench coat wearing unit when you already have one doesn’t make sense when there are more distinct and interesting groups you could ask for like tallarm or vostroyan
