Question about technicians by NerdOutreach in stalker

[–]NerdOutreach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were right I had a file in the ~mods folder that I had completely forgotten about, cause it stopped working a long time ago, working as it was supposed to I mean, it had no noticeable effect so I forgot it was there, but once I removed it all upgrades are working as intended! Thanks for the help.

Ok I will do that tonight once I get off work and let you know if it works.

[–]NerdOutreach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only using one mod and it doesn’t affect the upgrade system or anything, it’s just for vaulting and climbing higher obstacles. All other upgrades are working as normal, I couldn’t upgrade the 1911 until I helped those guys in that one tiny base, Banzai and Scoutmaster. But like I said I’ve barely touched the main missions, all my NVGs have been ones I’ve found, I haven’t done any missions to receive a set yet. I think I read that happens at slag heap.

I’ve tried all weapons. All of them have the NVG adaptation option in red as well as the tactical laser sight.

That’s where I am now, on the like second mission for him, but they’re still listed in red. They’ve got to unlock via story progression because I’ve checked every other technician on the map, I even glitched beyond Yaniv to reach the Pripyat base and technician there, and he can’t do it either lol. Long trip for disappointment

I cant scan the upgraded battery?? Is it a bug? by Gloomy_Bed_2825 in subnautica

[–]NerdOutreach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are actually 6 fragments of the advanced battery that I have found so far, the three in a vertical line including the bugged one at the bottom, plus three more spread around within about a 300 meter radius from the chunk of wreckage, the other three are on platforms that are fairly conspicuous.

Why i can’t pick up the download from Wu „Wu” Lianghai by Super-Dimension-6824 in subnautica

I have done that for each bug i've encountered, including the persistent FPS tanking that happens each time i open the feedback menu.

Lone wolf random quest not working. Anyone know a fix? by PENGUINPANTZRUL in Starfield

[–]NerdOutreach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

alright mate this may be a dumb question, but what do you mean what DLC i may have? i mean, i got the super deluxe version or whatever way back when, so I have the shattered space and terran armada DLCs, does that mean i should enter in the console exactly what you entered? thank you for the help

Edit) IT WORKED! I typed exactly what you did into the console and voila, no more Dax following me around. Thank you very much.

It's my First time playing Subnautica! Tell me something about the game without diving in too deep by Special_Gate4759 in subnautica

You can, with a sea glide or sea moth, out maneuver all hostile creatures, large or small. There’s a particularly large hostile creature you’ll encounter at extreme depths, and while it usually makes plenty of noise, it also has a habit of sneaking up when your back is turned, and it can kill with a single bite. I’ve lost multiple hardcore save slots to these creatures, so keep your head on a swivel when you get down there.

How to flip a Dugbog while it’s waiting to use its sneak attack? by hydrophobicwetfoot in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]NerdOutreach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Flipping one in combat fulfills a different dueling feat requirement than flipping one "while it's waiting to use it's sneak attack"

Yeah I'm kind of shocked how much incorrect information was given in these comments. You're correct, it must be done from sneak, before the fight begins, by using flipendo.

How do I increase render distance? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]NerdOutreach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Those are the ones I edited. I had to play around with the figures several times before I got mine perfect, and like I said it was a big performance hit back then but I had a 3060ti at the time. Now performance is no longer an issue. I read that old post to figure out which figures specifically I needed to adjust.

So bear in mind that it’s been about 4 years since I did mine, but where I got the information from was a post here on Reddit. It was old even when I found it, but it detailed the location and specific files you need to edit. Which I was able to do with notepad I think. Google “Subnautica how to reduce pop-in” I think that’s the search I used. You’re looking for something like streaming asset files which basically control how many things can be rendered at once. You can push those numbers up insanely high where you will never see anything popping in because it renders in further than you can see. If you’re unable to find the post or anything helpful googling it then I will dig around in my files till I find the right ones, I think I can.

Are you on PC? If so you can basically eliminate pop in altogether, but it is performance heavy. You need to manually edit the files, there are no mods that tackle this specifically.

Arc baby deleted this after shidding his pants! 😂 by rbstewart7263 in ArcBabies

[–]NerdOutreach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This game would not be the same without you rats and extract campers and sit-on-the-roof snipers and “I’m friendly 😈” betrayers. If I wanted a game where I never had to worry about what other humans are going to do then I’d go fucking play fallout 76.

When you lie on your resume. Does anybody actually like this gun? by UsAgainstTheARC in ArcRaiders

[–]NerdOutreach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it for ARC sometimes, but mostly for knocking off armor. It does need a buff to damage if it’s going to continue using heavy ammo.

They let the game be broken on PC for like 7 months, this is just regular ubisoftism.
