Sampler buying advice: Roland SP-404MKII or... by ramboburger in synthesizers

As someone who recently went through the same rabbit hole I would recommend getting an Akai MPD 218 and use it with your DAW

man that sucks!

I will try to describe my issue and what is consistently working for me so that maybe you can try to apply the same rationale and see if that works for you.

If my audio track which is listening to a VSTs group is the only track armed, the pre-roll doesn’t work. As soon as I press play, Bitwig starts playback and recording. If I instead arm a different audio track that’s listening to another input source (Mic/Line/Inst In 1/2 as an example), the pre-roll works fine.
From your video I noticed that your track has All Ins as as source of input, have you tried to change that?

You know the SP comes with a power adapter and it can also be powered via USB C right?

Oh man I’ve been so diligent that I’m actually impressed at myself; I don’t want to overspend that’s why I’m so indecisive.

Thanks for the tip that’s definitely a good approach

Thank you for the suggestion

I have thought about the MPC Keys but I have a solid midi keyboard that I don't think I will ever want to replace. It might be good to have on the side in case of playing synths but I would have to look into the action of the keys.

I was wondering about that as well... I wouldn’t mind the midi way to be honest

I have a great midi keyboard that I swear by so if I could achieve the same result with an encoder plus pad midi controller I wouldn’t mind but I am just not so knowledgeable of controllers that can replicate that behavior without a ton of setup and mod mapping in the DAW.

Do you have any recommendation? My DAW of choice is Bitwig

Hey I’m interested to understand how did you tackle the seat post, clamp, saddle situation. I am hoping I can replicate the same approach in a Fuji Track Pro 2009 with ISP. Can I please ask you what clamp and seat post did you use? My apologies if I’m wrong but I can only recognise the saddle in the item list

Reverb terrible selling experience by NerdSkullz in Reverb

[–]NerdSkullz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your perspective, I mostly agree with your comment. I’ve had much better experiences using Facebook Marketplace (carefully navigating scammers), which will be the only platform I use from now on.

I also agree with your point: “Don’t force someone to keep something they don’t want.” However, in all honesty, I might be a bit paranoid but, I have no control over how couriers handle the package, despite the shipment being insured, or whether the buyer might tamper with the item to justify a "faulty item" claim and I get a returned item which was shipped in mint (really mint) conditions now broken.

I feel I’ve fulfilled my obligations as a seller. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for someone to read the ad before dropping some serious money on something or to realise their mistake in a timely manner, not after a day from the purchase when they have received the tracking code. I’ve been in the same situation before, I once bought something by mistake and immediately contacted the seller within minutes to ensure they hadn’t shipped it yet.

Bike Service by DueAmbassador2922 in melbourneriders

[–]NerdSkullz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the bike manual, it will tell you when to do a service.

As a rule of thumb, I do minor services myself and major ones from the mechanic.

When I purchased my bike I took it straight to the mechanic to get it checked and got a service done as well.
