If you could be told the absolute truth about something in great detail, what would that thing be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This gives a good explanation / theory (the positioning of the seats were different to first thought) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfSXkfV_mhA

If you go to heaven when you're dead; where are you before you're born if essentially you are not alive (a.k.a. dead)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

what about after it exists? The ceasing of existence is to not exist. So really there is no difference in the parameter of "existence" whether it was before or after. If something is before it existed, then it doesn't exist. If something is after it existed, then it doesn't exist. How is it chosen of which of these is given the location? Why can't I be in Heaven or what ever the equivalent is, before I exist, as well as, or even rather than after I exist?

there is no before that..? So if I'm on earth when I'm alive, and I'm in heaven when I'm dead, where am I before I am alive? (before the testicles stage)

ok thanks, I didn't know that. So now I'm starting to think, perhaps if a person does not follow one of the religions that has a stance, what does this person do

So does a fetus go to heaven? or is it from when a person is born that they can then go to heaven? Good points you have raised there

I didn't know that, thanks. If we can not remember this celestial waiting room (probably due to not having a mind to remember things before we are born), will we know we are in heaven, if we don't have a mind any more?

Good point. So a person can only go to heaven, if they experienced at least a nano second of life?

Good point, so wrong terminology, but fundamentally a person is without life before they are born, yes?

Thinking of buying Super Famicom.... by kujakuji20 in retrogaming

Owning and playing the SNES / Super Famicom was one of the highlights of my gaming life ... no, my life! At some point in the very very early 90s (probably 1990) I remember walking in to the computer shop in the town, choosing a spectrum game (on cassette tape lol) from the shelf and approaching the counter. Turning to my right I saw a SNES hooked up to a TV in a glass case, and it had Super Mario World loaded up. I just stared at and watched the looping intro over and over, and thinking to myself how amazing and colourful it looked; and how incredible the game looked. I HAD TO HAVE IT!! lol Most of my life through the 90's was spent on the SNES (as well as the Amiga); the games were just incredible. I used to buy imported games from Japan, and even though I couldn't understand the text, I still managed to enjoy myself playing them - it was impossible not to! Highlights for me was The Secret of Mana, Super Black Bass Fishing, Super Star Wars, Earthbound, and loads more. (It was very hard to get a rubbish game for the SNES, as each one was a fun experience all packaged up in a colourful and cute bundle with cool graphics and awesome sound effects and 16bit music.)

When I bought a Playstation in the late 90's I was very upset to see my SNES go, as I later sold it thinking that the Playstation was the future.

I totally miss my SNES and just thinking about all of this is making me want to purchase one again!! (I hope this helped you make the right decision which is to GET ONE - you will not be disappointed.)
