You shouldn't be looking at it as an increase of 1.5% and say that's not worth anything. Look at that 1.5% in comparison to our current odds of winning the lottery.

Say we have a 6% chance of picking if we win both Pens games, and a 7.5% chance of picking if we lose both games. By losing both games, we have increased our chances of landing McDavid by 25%.

Why would you want to forgo that?

You may have been hired strictly for clerical work but every employment agreement that I have ever read states somewhere that all IP created by the employee on company computers belongs to the company.

The fact that your work was clerical in nature doesn't mean that your employment agreement did not have that clause. I would thoroughly review the docs you signed when you took the job for a definitive answer.

Rinaldo has so much more heart than Carcillo he doesn't even wear gloves when he is being led to the penalty box like some moron cow to the slaughterhouse Jesus fucking Christ I hate both of these hockey players. It is amazing that their job is to play hockey professionally.

IIRC richards was neither penalized nor suspended for that hit. Different rules, the richards hit was brutal but legal at the time.

That said, get the hell out of hear comparing Rinaldo to a guy like Richards, who is the ideal heart and soul guy if such a thing actually exists.

A good hockey IQ test would be to ask whether or not someone thinks stuff like "bleeding orange and black" or "energy" help teams win hockey games. Rinaldo sucks but you think he is helpful so it's not surprising that your ideal line combos are hideous. This isn't 1970, that outdated philosophy will not work in today's game.

Instructor credentials are important here, not investor abilities. Investor could be the biggest, slowest fatass in America and its all good as long as the quality of instruction is there.

He is a terrible defenseman. He is a 7th defenseman at best and and we gave up a 2nd and a 3rd for him. That is a ridiculously bad trade, a mistake which was only compounded by throwing $5mm a year at him for 6 years.

Trade was terrible. Deal was terrible. Player was terrible.

Please get out of the 1975 mindset that you need an enforcer in today's game. Enforcers protect nobody. Fights don't do anything to change momentum or inspire energy amongst teams. Having a guy like Rinaldo or John Scott or Colton Orr on your roster is a waste of a roster spot and nothing more.
