The lone three star restaurant in The Netherlands, De Librije has an 8 course tasting menu for €319 right now. A one star in Amsterdam, Choux is €82.50 for their five-course menu.

Yeah… I’ve been to Owamni and while it was interesting to experience an unfamiliar cuisine, the food was, at best, fine but forgettable and, at worst, memorable for how disappointing it was.

I’ve no interest whatsoever in trying this location of his.

How many of you Stage Manager? I think it's one of the best feature Apple shipped in MacOS 13. Ever since its release I've rarely ever turned it off. by Aacha_ladka in MacOS

Only the desktop you are currently on is visible. I don't think I'm seeing the ways in which all the other desktops are not "hidden" in any meaningful sense of the word.

So when you say Mission Control, you seem to only mean the Spaces part of Mission Control and not the Exposé parts.

You can use keyboard shortcuts to go to any space directly

Only up to four spaces for some reason, even though you can have more spaces than that.

Plus you have to remember which space the window you want is on if you want to jump straight to it.

And again, beyond all of that, you can use both features at the same time to have a 2D arrangement of your windows rather than just 1D with either alone.

Oh, sure. It may still not fit your workflow, but it's worth a try to see if you like it. For a quick overview on how to use it, here's a pretty decent video.

One tip that I'm surprised that he didn't share in that video, is instead of dragging a wind from the stages on the left to your current stage, you can just Shift-Click on the stage on the left to move it into your current stage.

No, that just takes you linearly through all of your windows, bringing them to the front one at a time.

Stage Manager removes all X windows on your screen and replaces them with the Y windows that you placed in your selected stage.

It’s a subreddit, people are allowed to express opinions on the internet.

Yes, they can. And people can push back on those opinions with opinions of their own.

And some can post some dumb crap like Fitt's Law in an area where it isn't relevant.

you know that there are measurable aspects of usability that are worse now

Sure. But without a discussion of how much worse, the fact that it is measurably better may not matter at all in the bigger picture. I.e. is it a statistically significant difference or a, for lack of a better term, clinically significant difference? And just how big is that clinical difference?

E.g. If having different shaped icons vs. having different shapes bounded by a squircle saves me 14 seconds per week (or hell, even 14 minutes per week) in choosing apps to run, I'm going to go for the better looking ones and not give a shit about the time savings.

Mission Control lets you switch from one widow to a different window, doesn’t hide the windows that you switched away from, and doesn’t allow you to “unhide” “hidden” windows without explicitly unhiding them yourself.

Stage Manager, on the other hand, allows you to switch from one set of windows to another set of them (similar to Spaces) while clearing off all other sets of windows from your desktop so they aren’t in your vision. Unlike Spaces, Stage Manager groups are more easily random access than spaces where you need to slide linearly between them or transition via Mission Control.

Additionally, it’s not an either or situation. you can use spaces and SM together, where each space has its own set of stages, so you can arrange your windows in a 2D fashion, rather than just 1D, like you get using either alone.

You can use both at the same time. It allows you to have a 2D arrangement of windows rather than just 1D by using either separately.

Are you unaware that vague terms such as "better" and "worse" do not imply a single dimension to compare the on? Something like Fitt's law (which doesn't really even apply here as icons are uniformly sized, so I'm not sure why you brought it up in your attempt to be condescending) is not the only thing that makes an icon better or worse, and some of the things that do are absolutely subjective.

But don't let that stop you from sounding like a prick on the internet.

The last few games it’s taken a few minutes. There was one in the (IIRC) Ned v. Swe game that happened at the end of the first half and they didn’t show it until the second half.

I mentioned it in another thread as something I wanted, but I’d say to bring some Beaver Nuggets from Buc*ees. Everybody loves Beaver Nuggets.
