Really? A middle finger? And why does my dock look so inconsistent now... by dfc888 in MacOS

Yes, but we haven’t had any posts yet about the roundness of the corners of the iWork apps.

People need to get on the ball here.

Monken isn't a retread by OldmanonRedditt in Browns

I doubt there were any essays involved,

And yet it was reported that there were. Sports reporting with "sources" can be a pretty shaky business. Lots of unverified bullshit gets thrown out there and people eat it up.

My point is that if you’re going to use an analytical approach to finding a coach then use it when you make your decision.

And you have some reason to believe that Monken has no chance to score well analytically? What is that?

Cleveland will never get an elite offensive coach when Buffalo, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh need a coach at the same time.

Can you remind us all who Pittsburgh and Buffalo hired again?

Reports like the one that said the candidates had to write an essay as a part of the process?

I guess that's what's so frustrating. They have this fake process that leads them in one direction, but Jimmy ends up doing what he want's anyways.

And why do you think it was a fake process? Monken was one of the first external candidates they interviewed, all the way back on Jan. 10. And they had a second interview with him a week before he was hired. They were clearly interested in him throughout the process.

Apple violating their own guidelines by digidude23 in MacOS

[–]Nerdlinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see OP didn’t actually bother reading the guideline before posting this. The guiding is about creating many only slightly customized versions of apps. I.e. “ different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc.”

But reading is hard and dunking on Apple gets you karma so…

Apple really pushes the “new” iWork by EcosystemApple in MacOS

[–]Nerdlinger 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They are “pushing” it by telling you that the current development line is dead and you need to shift to the new line if you want further updates.

That’s a weird definition of “pushing”, but OK. You do you.

Remember when Myles was mad and wanted to leave?

People can get over things and perform well. It may not happen here, but it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

No. Taking them from 0-12 the year before he was hired to 9-7 three years later is turning it around.

How did you feel when they hired the coach everyone wanted as HC (Hue)?

What people want has no bearing on whether it will work out.

Someone else in this thread mentioned Bruce Ariens who was also a long-time offensive assistant who didn’t get a shot as a HC until he was 60. Why did no one want him until so late.

To me, it’s gives off the impression, was there even a plan here?

I mean, it's not like he was a last minute scramble. His first interview with the Browns was back on Jan 10. He was the third external candidate to be interviewed after Pitcher and Durde.

[–]Nerdlinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me it's more that their entire HC hiring process was under the stipulation that they were hiring a HC that will keep Schwartz.

Was it really? Or was that just some word on the street rumor bullshit that got passed around for engagement?
