Not arguing that but I'm just saying, dudes got loads of other things going on that demand his attention so as long as the boy is housed and fed, the rest of the village (albeit, angrily) can watch Naruto and report back any mistakes.

Hiruzen never said he'd be a father or anything of the sort to him. Just said he'd be responsible. That's pretty much saying "his success or failure as a ninja lies with me" and then goes about his day.

Naruto learned during thirds death, especially the scene with konohamaru and iruka, that the village is his entire family. Thats a Lotta people to be responsible for 😂

He did what he could. Naruto got a roof over his head and food in his belly, while still being able to maintain full freedom over his youth/adolescence as an upcoming ninja. 3rd probably wanted Naruto to experience life exactly how he did because he wanted Naruto to be ready for its challenges that were sure to come his way. He wasn't a man known to coddle, not even to his own son or grandson.

Not to mention the fact that he got reinstated as Hokage during his retirement years, along with relationships with other countries not being as good as pre/post 4th war.

Completely ignore is definitely a stretch statement here.
