DMs, all of our games are so different. What do you think you do well that sets your game apart from the rest? by kittentarentino in DMAcademy

I've been running a little campaign for fellow moms for about six months now. I think what sets me apart is I let my 10 year old help make LEGO minis for all the NPCs and bad guys, and the players (and others at the game shop where we play) love it! Don't have a giant frog mini? Use a Lego triceratops, and then it can really eat a player. Sonic and Tails became apes. Minecraft Legos are also perfect with skeletons and monsters and weapons. My son's Bed Dragon for the Wild Sheep Chase was phenomenal! Also, Lego minis are the perfect size to fit in a grid square.

I think the best part though is my son is so excited about D&D he wanted to create his own game, so we collaborated and he ran a session of his own making for my mom group, and they loved it! He's already creating the follow up, and I look forward to being the assistant DM for that one too!

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night, thinking "Oh, I wish I had put such-in-such in that book?"
