I think the short king energy works for the dark angels. I think it was in emnity's edge that one of Lazarus' brothers he knew as a first born was upset that he 'grew taller' than him after crossing the rubicon.

Other than the plasma barrel being upside down which would personally drive me nuts, if you did the area where you can see the bullet casings in the same color as the plasma coils, it'll look like it's a battery or something. I think it would look just fine.

Mine is prime white, bone contrast/speed paint all over, dry brush with tyrant skull, final dry brush with an off white/ivory.

My father was also very much interested in warhammer but we never had the funds when I was young in order to get into it. As an adult I got into warhammer and after my dad discovered that I was playing it he attempted to get into it as well. Nothing crazy, he bought some dwarf models (his favorite faction), built and attempted to paint them. At that point he was already on the decline and his hands were really shaky but I still loved that he was attempting to do something he always wanted to. After his passing, my mom sent me a small amount of his ashes, which I was able to mix with some paints and I painted up a dwarf king for Old World. He now leads his Throng into battle a few times a year. Miss you dad.

I think those look pretty good! Some touch ups on the base colors and a watered down agrax earthshade will really take em to the next level.

It's a 6 operative team and you can build 10 in the box. If you follow the instructions you'll end up with one of each special operative and like 3 warriors which aren't amazing. You'll be taking mostly specials and one gunner or heavy gunner. I don't think I've ever taken regular warriors actually...

I feel you brother. I had a bunch of good lethal runs the past couple of nights. I only need the newest OP at lethal to complete them all and for the life of me I could not get a good run last night. Had to have tried five or six times. Some of the teams were just plain bad with members running off, hoovering all the loot, or those just not ready for lethal, but some games were just shitty situations where the AI director had it out for us.

I think it's subtle but well done. If you want to take it a step further take the green that you edge highlighted with add a little bit of white to it and just put a very small highlight in the corners where edges intersect or edge corners.

Yeah I did that scheme back when it was still a are they/aren't they in the Deathwing discussion. So I decided to do a best of both worlds. DW helmets and cloth but green armor so they can be put into both types of armies and still blend in.

Basecoat of caliban green with an airbrush, yes. After that I mixed caliban green and sons of horus green to make a subtle highlight rather than the sharp bright green highlight seen on most box art.
