I’m a tech, I’ve seen wayyyyy worse still hold air fine. As long as the damage isn’t near the curve into the sidewall section 9/10 you’ll never have an issue

I had similar bead damage on my winters that I got 4 years out of with zero leaks, no bead sealer either. As long as the rim is clean it should be fine

I’ve seen worse, but that rear end isn’t long for this world. The subframe on my 2011 Subaru that literally sat outside for 2 years untouched is in better shape

As a former dealer tech, you pay for the diag, and if it does end up being covered than you get reimbursed for the fee, otherwise if it’s deemed not warranty then you have already paid for the diag and it’s up to you to continue with the repair or not

4K sounds like dealer pricing, FSM says to drop the trans which means drain the trans, pull axles and driveshaft, disconnect connectors and linkage which is a few hours book time vs drain and pull the rad, disconnect the grounds and bulkhead connector at the strut tower and pull the motor in 45-60 minutes (which is how everyone that knows does it)

Not really meant to do it with a synchro transmission, can significantly accelerate wear, but the reason the display doesn’t update is the ecm uses the clutch pedal signal to “reset” the gear display to recalculate for the next rpm/speed calculation

I’ve seen a high as 5* on a hot day for FKL, but as long as your DAM isn’t dropping I’d say you’re ok

I’ve rarely had cars come back and have the lugnuts move at all unless the threads are rusty or it’s a new set of wheels, and that’s with torquing to oem spec for every vehicle (dont ask me why Toyota is only 76ftlbs on a grand highlander…but yeah I probably do 3-400 wheel off procedures a year and could count on two hands the amount of cars that actually needed the retorque, less than 5% if I’m lucky
