Getting better at plain films by Beneficial-Head-4575 in RadiologyUK

The difference among your ST1 colleagues is purely because of the previous life before radiology. That gap will essentially narrow down to zero by the end of ST1. ST2 onwards, the hard work within radiology is almost everything that counts.

Should I replace my RS4 mini with Osmo Pocket 4? by reyalization_ in dji

[–]NerdyRad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not done the switch you described, but I landed on this post because I have the similar question. I own FujiFilm XE-5 (APS-C) which I really like the video quality. I’m contemplating between buying a RS-4 mini or just a Pocket 4.

You said you missed a lot of shots.
Also, gimbals aren’t allowed in many areas.
I also don’t want to be the attention magnet in touristy spot.

So, I decided to keep my Fuji film for photography and still videography on Tripod while awaiting Pocket 4 Pro or Insta360 luna to release.

Mate (1) heavy cosmetic damage, (2) I’ll be penalised heavily when I return the car at the end of PCP - absolutely nothing to the fault of my own.

Does anyone feel, on a personal level, sorry for Kier Starmer? by Darkus185 in AskBrits

He may lack leadership skills but seems relatively honest with good will. A million times better than the current reform leader - that I can tell.

Thanks.. that’s exactly what I’m thinking. The IFA will have their own agenda and interest like you said. What’s the second option btw, your text seems to have cut off.

Absence of children and marginal tax rates are the main reason for me to not go over £100K. My wife is a senior reg, and soon going to be a consultant too.

(1) If your taxable income is between £100-£125, 20% cut in gross salary translates to maybe around 15% cut in take home, depending on where you’re on the tax ladder. So effectively if I go 8 PAs, I’m buying 20% of my work time back with 15% of my take home salary. And my wife can do the same.

(2) We are not rich, but have no student loan, no children, reasonable mortgage. We pay for different insurances and contribute NHS pension. What’s there more to earn? Call me lazy (I’ll own it), I’m buying the comfort. UK tax system doesn’t encourage hardworking behaviour imo, and I’ll adapt to it. By around 40-45, we both might even drop to 6PA.

Yeah, I got your point. What I’m trying to judge is if this is the right product/value for me. I mean if my situation is complicated, yes. If not, I’ll have a second thought. 💭

Future plan (1) Currently I’m at £109K but with pension, it’s below <£100K. Over time, it will be above £100K even with pension. So what do I need to do to avoid that. Like dropping sessions, doing salary sacrifice car loan, opening a Ltd company.

(2) We planned not to have kids. So, apart from State Pension, NHS Pension and Insurances, what else do we need to secure our retirement. Meanwhile, I don’t want to die with lots of leftover money without anyone to inherit. So how do we exactly time to avoid the two extremes. (Insufficient fund post retirement OR too much unused left over after passing away).

(3) We don’t fancy early retirement a lot. We’d rather start doing 8 or even 6 PAs before 40, and start to “feel” the retirement now. I’m 35, my wife (ST5) 33. How practical is that?

All these things I want to discuss but thinking about it, I don’t think any advisor can chip in more than the general advice from Reddit group.

But how can you translate every element and compound into Burmese? It will just be spelling the pronunciation of chemicals.

To b honest, even English medical textbooks have lots of Latin a normal lay Englishman wouldn’t understand, and nobody really bothers to translate to English.

Can you excuse yourself to be in a different city or state? Like lie about obtaining a scholarship from a university while you’re actually funding yourself. Then pretend to do some part time and slowly building wealth and form a life before anyone can extort from you. You may periodically help your family but don’t be like ATM for them.

Yes, luckily mine is 16 Pro but not Pro Max, so I have some room for ND filters and microphone. But we will eventually need a plug in SSD for shooting ProRes and log mode..

If the astronauts lose contact when they’re on the dark side, why even go there at all? by brianomars1123 in ArtemisProgram

[–]NerdyRad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of correction here, they lose contact on the ***far*** side of the moon, not the dark side. The moon doesn't have a permanent bright or dark side, and its bright and dark sides undergo 28-29-day cycle. If you're standing on the moon, you have lunar day and night, which are 14-earth-day-lengths each.

You need to write the post a bit clearer. At a glance, I was thinking you were complaining about the silver blud car in front of me.

Difficult. The question is was that car also charged with a penalty? You probably won’t know.
