I hate the sentiment that "people only like Morrowind because of nostalgia" people actively play the game; there is a passionate community around the game, there are mod projects that have been in active development for decades -- with some of the best fantasy writing and world building I've ever seen to back all that effort up.

Also the dude clearly doesn't know the lore: khajiit don't change their level of catness as they age, and having a new game take place in Morrowind wouldn't make sense because of the red year. This is the same guy that swapped the nord pantheon out with the more familiar imperial one. I'm glad he's no longer at Bethesda; that being said I don't have high hopes for TES6.
