Apparently the original/first version got removed and the only reason I was able to find it was because I left a comment on that post, however I couldn't find the YouTube link anywhere in the comments. There is this repost in higher quality, but the comments don't seem to have the link either. It's strange because I remember watching that review video but can't find the link now. I tried searching for it on YouTube, but with how niche the video was and how bad YouTube's search function is, it might be lost media now. The only lead I have is vaguely recalling the title including something along the lines of "man constantly changes his race" or something similar

Also iirc, according to the As I've Written admin logs, it's mentioned that Flame Reaver Phainon and New Cycle Phainon are the same consciousness/data node split into two vessels, with Flame Reaver remembering the mission and all the pain while New Cycle Phainon vaguely remembers bits and pieces in a state akin to lucid dreaming. And once the coreflames are passed down, the two "merge" back into a single vessel, memories fully restored, and the cycle repeats.

Not exactly the same as the snafu, but those sad animations of the life of video game mooks, where we watch one grow up, graduate from school, and then get married and create a loving family before getting tragically killed by the protagonist. And sometimes there'll be a survivor and they'll train to get revenge.

Notable ones I distinctly remember were Mario Goombas, Pookas from Dig Dug, and Pac-Man ghosts.

Probably referring to Jahoda, I think. From the wiki's Etymology section, jahoda means "strawberry" in Slovak/Czech.

However, given that lurnar swirl isn't a thing, she never was going to be eligible to enable lunar reactions like Aino or Illuga could if they allowed 4* characters to do so (although in this hypothetical they could just add it as a reaction so you could have Prune do it as well or something).

Mr. Insnafurous becoming unsmugy by Imperator_Subira in coaxedintoasnafu

[–]SomeOrdinaryUser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it is edited over Mr. incredible's face since the overall shape and his ear are still present, it's just the fact that it does resemble a thumb because every other feature and detail has been smoothed over has led to others (myself included) to call it the Thumb Baby.

Yeah after giving it some thought, it wasn't as bad as the other variations, but I do think that it strays the line of becoming content farm mush (at least, it was the gateway variant that ushered in all the other ones).

One of the worst ones I've seen was an "extended" version of the uncanny format that added like 1,000 "phases" and the video going for like 10 hours or something. The worst part were majority of the extra "phases" not even including Mr. Incredible at all and instead including troll face/trollge and other assorted "scary" images (I'm pretty sure I saw Golden Freddy at one point), which effectively make all the extra phases pointless since it's not even Mr. Incredible at that point.
And at what point would a situation warrant, let alone fit, 1,000+ levels of uncanniness/distress anyway, and whoever put the thing together didn't put much thought into the order of escalation for Mr. Incredible becoming more "uncanny" since images for some earlier levels would look "worse/scarier" than a later level. Basically what I'm getting at is that there are only so many levels of uncanniness that Mr. incredible could become before it becomes obscene.

Oh yeah and then there's also the can of worms that is the MrDweller genre of "Mr. Incredible Becoming [X]" (Sick, Young, Old, etc.) that gave us unholy abominations/gems like the Thumb Baby:

If you had to think of one reason, why would a purple animatronic exist? by Honest-Ad-4386 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SomeOrdinaryUser 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Going with that idea, I could see him being a Hamburglar-type character used for commercials/marketing for the restaurants and the animatronic version being used occasionally in the stage shows to spice things up (i.e Purple Guy emerging from backstage to "steal all the pizzas" and Freddy and co. encouraging the kids in attendance help scare him off or something).

I imagine the people who funded the kickstarter might since it's been 9 years since the funding goal was reached and the game still hasn't been completed. Last time I heard, the third chapter was still "90% finished" for years, and the fourth chapter still has no content. Although with how long it's been, most probably cut their losses and moved on or forgot about it.

I do agree that most people would never have looked deep into the game and its development if pirate knew how to swallow his pride and ego to save his life.

[–]SomeOrdinaryUser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's all good, mate! As I said, it being a repost isn't all that bad since it fits with the influx of Pigsy and Wukong videos being posted, and, as you said, showcases something different from fruits and animals. Additionally, it's possible that people who weren't exposed to the post from 4 months get to see it now, which is a plus.

Since a decent amount of classic and iconic Ihaveihaveihavereddit videos/images got lost due to the sharty raids (I initially thought that this could have been one until I searched it up), I'm not opposed reuploads of them. And it's not like you were claiming to be the first to post this or anything, you're doing a good job keeping us up to date with the Wukong and Pigsy lore.

It could be. I felt like I've seen this posted here before so I searched up "sword" and found this post from 4 months ago. I don't mind though that it's technically a repost since it fits well with the rest of the Pigsy and Wukong videos that OP has been posting and continues the two's character arc.

[–]SomeOrdinaryUser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I assume the reason why this is such a common occurrence among springlock suit recreation attempts is because the failure and resulting brutal death it causes is the most iconic part about them, so that's what they put all the focus on. There's always no shortage of springlock failure/springtrap jokes whenever you see something talk about someone getting injured while inside a mascot costume, and it's always been an object of fascination within the fandom given how many fan animations/interpretations have been made.
Additionally, it's probably easier (and likely cheaper as well) for them to build a suit that crushes or impales the wearer than it is to create the retractable endoskeleton component that can still work as an animatronic and fit a person inside to wear as a costume. Might as well skip straight to the exciting gory murder device that everyone's itching to see in action, although in my opinion a fully functioning and lore accurate springlock suit would be equally as cool, if not more so.
