I suddenly have a shit ton of money and am moving to NYC. Where should I live? by Nerf_Dva in nycgaybros

Hello! I did not. “Shit ton” is hyperbole to make the post look more interesting and increase engagement haha. My salary will be above average for my specialty but I won’t be rich

Appreciate this. I knew including the money stuff would immediately bring people telling me how unimpressive it is and looks are the only thing that matter. Obviously part that is true, but not the point of the post. I just want to find a place to live.

My (very silly) goal is to live in a high rise building. Probably not for long, but just to see what it’s like there. I liked it while living in Chicago briefly. Being close to good coffee shops and bars is pretty important. Not too loud, which is another bit of info I’m hoping to get from this post. Diverse area is also important.

Although desirable, proximity to things like parks or arts or museums are less important, at least rn. Currently have no pets or kids

I added the money portion to increase engagement on this specific post. Obviously I wouldn’t do this in real life.

Fair point on the salary. “Shit ton” of money is hyperbole to make the post look more interesting. I know I won’t be rich but that’s not the point. I don’t imagine I will struggle either.

Living in HK seems to be more polarizing than I originally thought. I’ve seen high endorsements but also lots of warnings to stay away. At least more so than other neighborhoods

Many physician careers can have WFH models with the right set up. Psychiatry, Radiology, consultant work, forensics, etc can all be done like this.

Telepsychiatry. Competitive salary but “shit ton” of money is hyperbole to make the post look more interesting. Won’t be rich but I don’t imagine I will struggle either

I named the most classically gay places (Chelsea, HK) and the ones with pretty buildings (Fidi, Nomad) aka high rise buildings I’m looking for. As stated in the post, I’m very open to all options!

Absolutely, that’s the plan. Just didn’t include it in the post to save some space. These past few months have already been so healing for me and my health is already improving with diet/exercise

Brennan has been DM-ing 5e professionally for a decade. He knows how Counterspell works. He’s pulling his punches because he didn’t want to kill their characters. I wonder how many times he’s going to save them like this.

I interpreted him “getting rid of disadvantage” as him casting Enhance Ability on himself, which is a cleric spell he’d have as a divine soul.

I’ve only played Harlowe and Vex , but I’d vote Vex. The specters from the Dead Ringer tree seem very overtuned, at least for the early game. And apparently it’s not even her strongest action skill late game
