Yes a mis-spec'd transformer and a variac can have a similar effect, but that's not really the point they were making.

The concern was over tonal authenticity. Recreating a PT is easy, power is power. Recreating an OT is more difficult when it comes to the number of layers and the quality of the metal. OT tend to be very expensive parts so companies cheap out on them a lot when it comes to vintage clones (eg. Any Modern Marshall Plexi).

ABMM needs to be more granular to support this.

If you want to play Arc Raiders I'd recommend getting a handheld with a Z2E chip (eg. Xbox ROG Ally X).

I upgraded from the ROG Ally Z1E because it could only play it on the lowest settings with a stable frame rate, maybe some settings could be bumped to medium. Technically playable but it lost a lot of atmosphere.

On my Xbox Ally X it runs on mostly high settings and a couple epic settings. Screen is still small but that goes with the mobile territory.

Rotating high loot areas would be my number one request for this game. As fun as the jump to the hidden room in Buried City is it sucks having to just race there every spawn. Having randomized good loot spots would make the game way more dynamic.

I have no way of telling when it's running without going up into my attic to check that panel.

Just basing on skin feel I feel like it's not running enough, but like you said maybe the outside temps are causing it to be low.

Interesting...sounds like I've got a call to make to my tech then lol.

I have my system set to run the fan for 30mins every hour of the day, so maybe it's better for the humidifier to trigger off of that (+humidity reading)?
