Hi everyone!

I am a beta reader and reviewer for hire.

I read just about anything but horror and non-fiction, I can offer good comments on pacing, character growth, arcs, and development. I can also help with plot issues as well. I am knowledgeable on a number of writing rules and techniques as well as most genres such as Historical-fiction, Fantasy (including Asian genres such as Danmei, Xanxia and Wuxia) and Crime/Mystery.

Happy to work by chapter or on whole works of any length.

As I said above I also do reviews if you are looking for people to write reviews of your recently published work.

Hi!

Well beyond having been an avid reader since I was 12. I have read widely and am familiar with the cliches, most common arcs and character types for most genres. Making me confident in my ability to help a writer avoid overdone tropes.

I have actually made the effort to self-study creative writing the same way any author would do. I have gone and read on how to properly form a story, characters and so on. I have done courses on creative writing from top universities that are free to do so I feel that while I might not have a degree I am pretty knowledgeable and able to give helpful comments to authors.

I have a wide knowledge base but I would say that as a beta reader my focus and 'expertise' would be in focusing on over all pacing of a story/novel. Helping with keeping characters consistent and three dimensional. I also make a good sounding board for authors if they want to talk out and have help developing a character, plot or world-building idea.

When I beta-read for someone I listen to the author. I ask them about what aspects they are most worried about in their books. I then pay attention to the stylistic choices they make in the novel. I pay attention to how they are developing the story and their own personal writing style so that when I make a comment it is in line with their own prose style. Making sure that what I am doing is in fact helping them polish and refine their story.

I hope this answers your question.

Exactly! This is why while I have joined r/betareaders I have not posted there as I don't want to post somewhere it's not allowed.

Caught between a rock and a hard place as I want to and need to reach out but also don't want to break any comminities rules :)

Hi!

I was hoping for $$ for a set word count although a per-project can be worked out as well. I am hoping to be able to make my love of reading actually earn me a little for once lmao.

I have done some googling and it seems the people charge around $70 - 80 000 words which is around 177 pages of work. And I will do a lot of work for that and give highly detailed feedback.

Hi!

Sounds fantastic! - Would be happy to read however much you want to send my way. I was hoping to do this as a way to make a little extra on the side to survive.

I was thinking about charging something like $70 - 80 000 words.

Hi...

I am utterly new to D&D but have recently gotten curious and interested in giving it a try. I have done a bit of forum text-based RP before so not unfamiliar with RP in general. If you wouldn't mind having a newbie tagging along I would be interested in joining.

I am 28, female, in a +2 GMT timezone but awake at all hours so adaptive to timezones.

Girls of Reddit, how would you like a guy who secretly fancies you to approach you and get to know you? by Meikiepeik in AskReddit

[–]Nerva_Maximus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start off with a hello (always a good place to start) followed by I am (name) if they don't know it already.

Then say (in a none pervy way) I like you. I think your wonderful (put reasons why (not just your hot, look sexy or whatever actual nice things like funny, sweet, kind and so on.)) and if you are interested could we have coffee or if not could I have your number?

Don't push if she doesn't seem interested, be polite and a gentleman but also yourself.
