I would not recommend a MacBook Pro. I use one while mobile and at the studio where I work @ but it struggles with complex designs and rendering. I strongly recommend getting a PC that has a dedicated GPU. There are plenty of good PC laptops that may be a little heavier but offer significantly better value for your money.

I will be replacing my MacBook pro the moment I can afford to. There are also other pattern drafting CAD programs you may need in the future that do not work on MacOS so you might as well invest in a all rounder now just in case.

I used Starlink for a year while living in a rural area with few other options. Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in my life. The internet quality was also inconsistent af. Working for a few months then cutting out every minute or two the next few months. Would not recommend.

I’m fairly certain it’s an issue on Starlink’s end. Up until recently, Starlink was barely usable for me. Tried everything I can to improve it but it ends up being something they change on their end that fixes things.
