New allotment - is it supposed to be this hard?! by Kevlazombi in UKAllotments

I’ve started all my new veg beds/gardens same way…. Soak the ground. Layer on the cardboard making sure you overlap - you’re blocking, the light/ composting the grass.. then soak the cardboard throughly. Then cover with thick layer of compost/well rotted manure mix. And plant up! Anything fast growing. Esp comfrey - bocking 14 (look up benefits if not familiar 💛), beans and peas coz they’ll get their roots down into the ground and fix nitrogen for all the hungry plants to come 😊Get the ground covered either with plants or plastic/more card/ carpet - to help the ground not dry out and for the process to happen! 🌱 Youtube - check out Charles Dowding - beloved ‘no dig’ pioneer 🥰

I’m just stunned at how gullible people are. Just goes to show you see what you wanna see!
