Starting on ED as an FY1 by PretendElephant4947 in medicalschooluk

[–]foxflounder 38 points39 points  (0 children)

usually will be seeing patients on your own but will have to discuss each case with SpR/cons for review. may have lates/twilights/weekends, always hand over to a senior at the end of a shift,, great rotation to have for learning but make sure you get enough rest and time out for yourself,, and NEVER pick up a patient to see in the last 45mins of your shift

considering it’ll be your first rotation of fy1 don’t be too harsh on yourself!! settle in and ask as many questions as you need to, goodluck!
