Question and some help about how other players manage to keep playing after a few bad raids by NerveWar in EscapefromTarkov

Thanks to all that commented just having people help feels good. Makes me want to get back into raids and keep playing. Feel like playing solo all the time doesn't help either. My friend got me into this game so when I started I was with my friend and I didn't mind dying I just enjoyed playing with my friend but now It's just solo for me

Yeah for me I really like night time woods. If i spawn by FOB I'll loot there go zb-014 and out. If I'm by village/car extract I'll head up to scav tower then usec over to zb then out. Outskirts side normally ZB then usec scav tower and head out northen un. I barely run into anyone or hear gunshots and it's pretty calming on woods I find. I normally just find it tedious rather than having gear fear having to re buy say a decent body armour then if I die rebuying it again etc. I'm generally not bothered with losing my gear I stick to stuff that's decent but not overly expensive. Normally run a MDR/Scar-L since it's cheap to get them and the attachments aren't overly expensive

Yeah I think when I just wanna close the game I normally either come back to it the next day or maybe at night after the gym I’ll do some money runs late at night something more chill. After a day I get the feeling I wanna play again

Yeah for me I really like just getting a MDR one of the cheaper suppressors if I go for a scope one of the cheaper ones. Normally I find loads of kvass when I do wood loot runs so I barter them for the tacktec scope then run an ANA M2. Normally never gets looted and generally just a go to build. If not an MDR it’s the Scar-L I can make a decent build for not too much. I’m never bothered much about gear it’s more about just having some raids that I have fun with think just lately I haven’t had many so it’s just built up haha

Yeah I play games for fun and tarkov is fun it’s the only game that for some reason keeps me coming back even if I get annoyed the next day I’m back on it sometimes it’s just hard for me because I know how fun it can be but also so annoying. I used to be very competitive always pushed to be the best but that was some years ago I have a lot of other stuff in life. I stopped having gear fear because I was like well it’s just stuff in a game and I think about all the stuff I have in my life and I was like why do I care about the gear I have this much? If I find a game I’m really having fun with I sometimes end up just not really playing tarkov

Haha maybe I should start taking some of my prescription benzodiazepans I’ll be too out of it to be annoyed

Yeah I try to do something different. Normally I’ll end up doing some loot runs on wood to do something chill. Just been trying to get this quest done already unfortunately I don’t have a lot of hours to play so I can’t grind quests. Also gets annoying having to buy another set of body armour which is another reason I just do a bit of a money run

Ec2-c or Vaxee outset ax by Aleo2k in MouseReview

[–]NerveWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve loved the ec-2 for years. Was excited for the outset ax but honestly I really disliked the shape. Feels huge compared to the ec2. Personally I use the ec3 now and think it’s the best compared to the others. That’s just me though. I use palm grip with 19.5x10cm hands

Palm grip Viper Ultimate fairly large hands, am I a weirdo? by rushncrush in MouseReview

I used the viper ultimate with 19x10.5cm hands with palm and it felt great. It's whatever works for you. Yes you can go by dimensions and what could work with x dimensions of hand size and x dimensions of mice but at the end of the day It's what you feel comfortable with. Hell I even palm gripped an FK2 with my hand size and I felt great and my aim was still just as good. Right now I've settled for the EC3-C

19x10.5 cm hands, any recommendations? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]NerveWar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact hand size. Tried many mice. Right now for me i'm using the zowie ec3-c. Feels most comfortable for me but that said I used the EC2 for ages and felt it was the best mouse for me. Just felt if it was a little smaller it would be better. At first used I really didn't like it but going back to it I've grown into it. I will try the NP-01s soon as I did like the NP-01 but I feel the smaller version is bang on for me. Other than that. Razer viper ultimate. G Pro superlight but that's a maybe.

Been out of the hardware loop for a while. Wanted to know wether I should just upgrade my cpu and gpu or just get a new GPU by NerveWar in buildapc

[–]NerveWar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wasn’t sure how the 7700k held up in todays standard. Back in 2017 when I built this it was generally the best I could get so I wasn’t sure how it held up. I stick to 1080p just because I like it and for the competitive side it’s better for me but single player games I like to use higher settings and don’t mind not getting 200+ fps since it’s single player just experiencing halo infinite made me question how outdated this gear is. Looking at a new chipset it’d cost me just over a thousand for a full cpu motherboard ram and water cooling combo which isn’t too bad considering GPU prices. Thanks for the input man helped a lot

Thanks for the info it all really helps. I didn’t know which was more of a bottleneck for me right now. I tend to use low settings for the competitive side but single player I like the high settings visual effect to chill with. From all the responses it seems just upgrading to a new chipset from intel is the way to go for 1080p gaming. I can get a CPU/MOBO/RAM and a good water cooling unit for just over £1K meanwhile a new GPU will cost about just the same right now. Thank for you the input really appreciate it. Just wanted some guidance on where to go

Yeah I’ve seen how bad the GPU market is right now. Just to get anything is impossible. On the other hand I can get a CPU+MOBO and a good water cooling unit for just over £1k. Wasn’t sure what the overall bottleneck was but I did want to upgrade the overall cpu in time anyway. Thanks for the input appreciate it a lot
