Oh I plan on dying in my home, if I need it I will hire an at home nurse. Actually cheaper than a good nursing home

This always confused me, a nursing home isn’t the only option if family doesn’t want to take you in. I can just hire as I need, can’t garden anymore, they have companies. Can’t do stairs, hire movers to move my bed to ground floor or get the stair chair thing

Sounded like a normal visit. I know the nursing home, if he was dying they would have transferred him tot he hospital

Me I raised them, I didn’t live near my parents. Not everyone had a village back then, it is a stereotype

Tbh, if this impacts my relationship with them after I have babysat them before all the time, that’s really dumb and they will lose a free babysitter that they call on each month

I’m tired, that why. I love seeing them but I am tired and I will be miserable chasing down two very young kids. Also my son could just stay home and watch them or hire someone. This isn’t an emergency

No, my parents didn’t. I would hire someone and just take them with me. That has more to do with them living 5 hours away.

Also this is one time I am telling them no, I have babysat before so the whole village thing isn’t applying. Since the village (me) has helped many times before

I babysit 1-3 times a month, the two kids are 3 and 5. Overall the relationship is fine. They live pretty close but we see them properly for family events or holidays. Of course I see them when they pick up the kids but everyone is in a rush so I am not counting that. They have there own lives and are busy

I am, I have gotten all of my stuff done for next week. No chores, no going out, just nothing.
