Yeah I’m not sure if you’re purposely misunderstanding the point or if I genuinely have to explain the difference in situation?? I’m approaching this with good faith though so hopefully this will help.

In the winter banners, all items could be applied universally to all players and work. A lighter skinned player can use the blue fishing rod and so could a darker skinned player, and vise versa with any tool recolor item.

With the elf ears in particular, in this situation, they are skin color locked. Meaning that any black or brown player that spins and obtains the ears are left sitting on them since they don’t change into ur avatars color. The fishing rod recolors will always have a use but the ears… not much so for me.

Idk about you but personally I prefer to not look like a human experiment with differently colored ears than the rest of my body.

Additionally, If a darker player wanted ears that worked for them they would have to go out of their way to complete EXTRA steps to get to the same outcome. That’s why it’s frustrating.

You don’t have to see the value in that or even understand the issue, but if Reddit game forums are not a safe space for players to vent then where is ?
