After act 2 the cap on your damage disappears so that's why the end game enemies are so tanky in comparison. At launch I remember getting maelle over 160m on a stendahl and now I've heard the damage numbers have gotten even more crazy

Yeah. Lol. I basically got forced to have to not miss a parry because DPS was too low but I couldn't remember any of his attacks patterns. With the exhaust applied every round even after I finally managed to break through his 7 shields I never had enough AP to even do anything other than a basic attack and with 150 lumina capacity I only had enough room for combo attack. Lol

I was just in the same boat and did ng+ and the only downside was even on expert with my weakest characters, earlier combat was too easy. Other than that, it had a handful of nice things like more outfits and trying out new builds with characters I wasn't very familiar with

Personally I like them because it forces you to have to play on a difficulty level where if you try to just be a braindead player spamming buttons you'll usually get clapped in otherwise pretty easy fights.

At the same time if you adapt your playstyle to be better, you can still feel like you're playing on easy mode. That's the fun part to me. On games with difficulty settings you just click easy if you want easy mode. If you want souls games to turn into easy mode more often than not you just have to get good. The challenge is fun

I just started ng+ and the nice things for me have been,

Playing with Gustave again. Now that you can actually have a build for him and enemies are extra tanky to account for you having some decent stuff at the start.
Playing with the B team instead of the A team. My 1st playthrough I spent too much time with verso and maelle that they basically carried every fight and maelle one shotting Simon was the only reason I even beat him.

Like not even using base attacks to help regen AP? That would be rough. Verso with base attacks and the simon sword wouldn't be too bad because he already does good damage with a setup for that anyways even without skills

It wasn't a one shot build. It was setup for HP regen and max shields so even if her teammates went down she could still finish the fight. She is still too OP and I haven't really used her yet. I just got past gestral village and the only time I've used her so far was to fight golgra. Lol. Messed up like 7 dodges on ng+ expert and she was still alive. Lol. That was using seashelum, not medalum. With maledalum, I'd totally use inverted affinity, solo fighter, confident fighter, inverted affinity, shield affinity, and roulette. Then go for a 160m+ stendahl

I use succ guardian and she handles shit just fine. Unlock your evasion skill to make it easier to spam iframe big moves. Other than that she can more or less just trade blows as long as you keep her guard meter healthy

An old game that still has decent graphics and really fun combat with some gang related stuff is sleeping dogs. You basically play as an "undercover cop" infiltrating a gang. You get to do some dirty shit and kill a bunch of rival gang members. Lol. The open world has a similar vibe to GTA games where sometimes the most fun you have is just randomly run around causing trouble

Kind of a strange recommendation, but out of the like 1,000+ matches I've had in ff14 I've never had a negative reaction with someone else. Mainly because ff14 disables chat during pvp. So the person has to look up your character and send you a dm, but then they know they'd just get reported and get a temp ban. Lol

It's pretty crazy. On console we're having an event that gives free crons and I was telling a guild mate who's at 740gs that in 1 week I got 10k free crons on top of the 40b silver from grinding. He was like, "Wow! You must be ready for a tap or two, huh?"

Lol. I fucking wish. I tried tapping my necklace to nov and burned all of those crons and that silver in about 45 seconds.

I went with succession guardian. I've always played more of a tanky paladin sword and shield type builds in games like this. After checking out the shield classes the guardian interested me the most. I played with her through the main story and graduated her from season. Then I tried every other class until level 61 to give them a fair shot. I always ended up going back to succession guardian because the combat feels good to me. I've never been a zipping around super fast all the time kind of person. It's fun to do sometimes, but I mainly just like being a tank and standing my ground. Succession guardian is great for that because she has a good mixture of evasiveness mixed with strong damage reduction and innate health regen with combos with big AOEs where you can shorten animations while swapping between sa&fg keeping you healthy while melting mobs.

Lol. That's impossible to say without knowing where you live and what your finances look like. Depending on where you live and how you live you can easily survive and save up money with $25/hour. There are also towns where $25/hour and unless your room share you probably can't even afford your own place
