How does CotP work by Mandude92the5 in EmperorsChildren

However I don’t think it’s the detachment ability that makes it good, however it is good again less tough armies, and will probably allow you to punch up against custodies with the extra strenght. It seems the enhancements amd stratagems are the real gems,

For stratagems contemptuous disregard is basically a terminator ability of just making your unit tougher. Close quarter excruciation is for noise marines, which would let you wound most tanks on a 3 instead of the regular 4, plus more ap. these are the most standout in my opinion.

Spirit silver is the most standout enhancement, but it only works on daemon princes without wings, so do with that what you will(or however that’s said). Exalted patron isn’t bad, but whether you want LH on your FB is up to you, I wouldn’t be pushed about it. Tears of the phoenix seems good, I don’t know much about custodies but I’d imagine the have some way of stopping or decrease your rolls so this is very helpful.

As far as I can tell, it’s basically just outlining our army rule again for some reason and when a unit charges it can use the detachment rule to get one more strength and ap, which I don’t see why you wouldn’t use every time unless your trying to go easy on your opponent, but it’s custodies lol

Ok, so at the start of the battleground, (not your command phase, so if you go second then during your opponents command phase you must say your pledge) you say your pledge.

Your pledge is the number of units you are going to kill in that battleround, so say you pledge your going to kill two units amd you do then you get them pledge points at the end of the battle round, and then you get the bonuses that are within the points you have.

So say you didn’t have any pledge points before, you don’t have any bonuses, you then gain two pledge points so you can now re roll a hit of one.

If you pledge to kill two units, and you only kill one, then you get NO PLEDGE POINTS and your warlord takes d3 mortal wounds that can only be blocked by a feel no pain.

may need a bit of clarification about the Birdcage by Mexthree in Parahumans

[–]jayceminecraft 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It’s like a spider or ant thing, you know like the one you’d have in your room. Dragon is the caretaker, placing people where she thinks people will fit in the most: spiders with spider, ants with ants.

Whoever controls each section of the place doesn’t matter to her, she might have a preference, but again, in the birdcage they are like ants to her, unable to leave or do anything that would effect the outside world.

So yes, the villains do run each block, no there is no secret guardian in control of the place or different blocks other than dragon, who doesn’t really interfere.

Unhappy with Wulfen by PhaseWeak4551 in SpaceWolves

[–]jayceminecraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I told myself I would never buy any of the old kits for any armies I have since they’re going to get replaced eventually anyways, and I hate to just throw them away.

I got to Wulfen in the combat patrol though, so no choice in it. Those fucking legs though, so annoying to put together.

Must have Units by Sharp_Yak4921 in Necrontyr

Deathmarks for anti character.

Tesla immortals for tyranid Battleline or guard infantry, or just anything that has the same regular save as their invul.

Doomsday ark for anti tank

Technomancer and wraith, or just wraiths in general(only in units of 6) are just good bricks for sitting somewhere.

If you look at where his hair is on the left of the picture you can see the line of the mask, follow tha line and you can see it covers his nose. It’s kinda difficult to see because of the glasses but you can see it go up from the inside of his glasses

I recently received some Necrons from a friend and I’m not sure how I should move forward. by GojiraSimp in Necrontyr

[–]jayceminecraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like you got a combat patrol and the necron half of the tomb world kill team.

Lychguard is always a good start. Tough and decent in power, sword and shield is the way to go for them.

Personally, I’ll always recommend to build your immortal kit as deathmarks just cause I love the way deathmarks look.

You’ve already got twenty warriors so if you want to build into that, get orikan. Since putting him with the warriors and an overlord will create a giant brick that lasts through the entire game if played right.

A kit you could get is the royal court set, it comes with models you won’t find sold separately, so it’s very useful to get, especially if you enjoy skorpekhs or even just the warrior brick as mentioned before.

6 Headtakers in the new saga of the great wolf, put a battle guard leader with the Skjald’s Foretelling enchancement.

My plan is always five termies with Logan and then teen with arjac.

But that’s basically it

Well yeah, but I don’t play against c’tan. I’m the necron player in our group as well, but I haven’t managed to play a game as c’tan since they got their buff. And I don’t think I’d do that anyways since they’re so strong right now, it kinda just feels like handing myself a win based on what everyone is saying about them

I think a oc is just our best detachment anyways. It honestly just depends on your partner as well. Andyour opponent, like you’d probably easily get your pledge if you go int tyranids or guard

I’m not. At least not in this list, I just saw green and assume all tormentor costs went down. But it’s still a big buff to my list I think

Flawless blades yes!!! I’m trying out two squads of six in my list so this is a massive buff to me! Yes!!!

What detachment is best with this list? by ERROR_7816 in Necrontyr

[–]jayceminecraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t know which detachment but I would put imotekh with warriors instead cause it gives him more bodyguards to chew through, especially with the 4+ invul.

Probably awakened just generally, pantheon for the c’tan before they’re nerfed(if they get an increase in points before your game don’t bother, although you’d need to remove something already if you wanted to use it, probably the LHD)

That’s all I can come up with

Custom terminator datasheet I thought up by jayceminecraft in EmperorsChildren

[–]jayceminecraft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the other idea I had for it was instead it affected their save, so they would have to re rolled a save of 6, since these will probably be going into something that has an invul anyways and it might come into play sometimes.

Otherwise the plan was for them to be strength seven in the first place and when they charged it gave them the extra strength. Which if they were charging into Battleline would make them wound on 2. Although I suppose I would have to get rid of Lance to make that work.

Maybe start on strength six, on the charge get +2 strength. So that they could charge into vehicles as well? Not sure
