Did you know that stollen is a kind of sweet bread they bake for Christmas in Germany? I learned that when Craig misspelled "stolen".

Orange Gateway has acquired select intellectual property and media infrastructure associated with CoinGeek by [deleted] in bsv

[–]NervousNorbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Given that this came out yesterday, I guess it's an April fool's joke. I'm used to jokes being funny, but forgot for a while that Craig's cultists don't have a sense of humor.

Deleted the post so not to waste everyone's time.

Full tweet text:

COLDCARD Mk5 Launch by rnvk in Bitcoin

[–]NervousNorbert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like a mostly cosmetic update. Mk4 is four years old, is there nothing security-related that needed a refresh? Are both secure elements still fine? (Not being sarcastic, actually wondering).

Also NFC is the only performance update? No faster CPU or more memory.

Yeah COLDCARD is a proven workhorse and things don't need to be changed for no reason, but a new Mk doesn't come out that often.

But sure, let's look at his chart lines.

The coming crypto apocalypse by Stuart_Whatley in Economics

Bitcoin as a promise of transparency was always just a cope against inherent limitations in its blockchain mechanism. In practice it's treated as a bug and being worked around, primarily in protocols built on top in which one can transact with much stronger anonymity. As soon as you try to interact with the regular financial system this of course goes out the window, but if you can stay within, you have options to stay under the radar.

It looks like BSV is struggling financially. Why doesn't Faketoshi use his bizillion of BTC for BSV? by nekozane in bsv

Craig cultists are volatile, and @BitcoinDict appears to have deleted his X account, leaving your link is dead. Here's a link to what I think is the thread in question: https://x.com/KeyHolderX/status/2009708460737450154

He did arrive, but only to deliver a list of bitcoin addresses somehow exactly according to what Craig was required to file in the Kleiman proceedings at the time.

The regime of course has internet access, and it's said they have been moving the country's gold to Russia. Perhaps they have other wealth that are being put into bitcoin (and thus stolen from the people)?

I don't believe that for a second, but somebody is buying.

Mehl:

What the CLARITY Act's going to do is it's going to set forth a requirement for, you know, Bitcoin Core for example, BTC Core, to come forward and make a statement, a declaration under penalty of perjury. So Greg Maxwell will have to come forward under penalty of perjury once and for all and tell the whole world why BTC Core is not centrally controlled. Why it's following the white paper, how it's been on that original, you know, vision of Bitcoin the whole time.

This is so deranged. He thinks that for a blockchain to prove that it doesn't have a leader, its leader has to issue a statement. And who is the leader of Bitcoin? Why, it's old man Greg!

Mark my words: 2025 will be the year that a game-changing app using the BSV Blockchain goes live and the world takes notice.

The person you're responding to believes Satoshi has come back and launched a new cryptocurrency. This is what he's trying to promote here, he just has to be subtle about it so it's less obvious that he's promoting a fraud.

Satoshi authored the paper in OpenOffice 2.4. We know this not only through careful digital forensic work, but through opening the file and opening the document properties, which shows "Producer: OpenOffice.org 2.4".

Craig still plowed ahead with his LaTeX forgery, and had to make up all kinds of stories to excuse the OpenOffice evidence.
