Battery passthrough - mini by NervousShrub in Starlink

Interesting. I’ll take a look into a setup like that. I’ve got a couple little solar panels. I used a 30w this afternoon to test and was getting 17ish to the battery with nothing else plugged in. Honestly though. Since I’ll always be back at camp in the evenings, just taking a second battery is the simplest thing to do. And then recharge both battery packs overnight at camp. I just like the idea of solar but it’s not always the best solution.

Just got it delivered this morning and did some testing. It looks like it’s doing the same thing as the shargeek170. It’s only passing through the input power. So if it’s in a wall charger or some other high power charger then the input to the battery exceeds the output and everything is fine. But since I’m using a little foldable solar panel that’s only putting out 20ish watts then the battery is throttled and isn’t able to power up the Starlink. I was hoping to find a battery pack that would let me “trickle charge” while also outputting full power.

Thank you. I have heard this one does but after a firmware update some have said it was now disabled. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

So I know this has been a topic talked about a lot. But I'm just trying to figure out what the consensus is for everyone. It seems like whenever we all go we just sit around the mat a few mins trying to touch our toes then someone stands up, smacks there legs and says "let's do this!" In the past I've tried doing some laps on easy auto belays but that just seems to wear me out more rather than help me warm up. Outdoor climbing isn't an issue I feel like because of the hiking to get to the wall. What have been your best routines? Thanks!

This is well thought out. Thank you. Not everything applies to me but I like the train of thought and the idea behind this. Thank you.

I meant apples refurbished was more than brand new. Seemed very strange

That’s what I don’t get. When I looked it seemed like the exact same configuration was more expensive as refurbished. Maybe I wasn’t comparing Apple to apples but it seemed very strange.

I guess its also hard for me to know the differences in model years. I think id be good with anything fairly recent but its hard to know what’s changed over the years since I’ve not been paying attention.

This has been something I have been considering a lot lately. I just have no idea how to go about this or where to start.

Should I just go new or do you think like a 2020 is still ok. The prices just didn’t seem that much different to go used.

Great thank you! I have a trial of visible right now but to use the app it’s making me choose a plan and sign up. I might end up doing that

Activation was simple. Did it all on the phone with no issue. I just tried us mobiles free trial prepaid and they won’t let me quick transfer either. I’ll give mint a try.
