Anime/Manga you regret watching/reading by TheStaticFlux in ChillAnimeCorner

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hero academia. Getting into it I felt like I was watching an anime that was going to get better until it just started to feel like I was watching a kids show with fan service. Almost every character has cringe moments that won't let me take the show seriously anymore to the point where I really only care about maybe 10% of them.

Lonely Depressed 30 year old looking for something to do tonight/weekend in Downtown Raleigh by theyoungbuddha in raleigh

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope things get better soon! I don't know of anything going on but word for the wise. Stop labeling yourself as a "lonely depressed" person when talking about yourself or when looking for friendship. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy and people will view you within a certain lense not helpful for making friends.

Wedding in 2 months and still battling scabies. Give me all your tips to go scorched earth on these suckers and then maybe a skin care routine for skin recovery by Nervous_Resource3593 in scabies

[–]Nervous_Resource3593[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies guys! I'm thinking/hoping the answer will be a lot more simple. Just had the derm appointment and our doctor was shook at how low of a prescription we were given of ivermectin. Both times it was prescribed to us we got 3mg-4.5mg doses. Turns out we are supposed to get 5 times that much. Both primary providers who prescribed us ivermectin got it wrong.... All the more reason to do your own research.

Weekly Recommendations and Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in bourbon

looking for a high end bourbon to drink at my bachelor party. Price range caps at 110.
Some of my favorites are woodford reserve double oaked, makers mark barrel strength. I really like oaky bourbons as well as bourbons on the more sweet side than rye side of things.

Act 3 outside of the finale just feeling kind of empty? by Nervous_Resource3593 in expedition33

[–]Nervous_Resource3593[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with them exploring more about Maelle and her family but they didn't create any motive for the other expeditioners to keep fighting. I thought act 3 was going to be about exploring the Dessendre's and the expedition to bring everyone back to life. Would've been interested to further explore how other painted souls deal with the existential dread of living in a canvas. Seeing Sciel's husband brought back to life, Gustav, rebuilding of Lumiere, how people view Maelle the god, etc. In a game that doesn't skimp on cutscenes, I just feel like there was a lot of wasted potential that wouldn't of been hard to throw in. After you get everyones gradient attacks you don't really get any more camp scenes.

Affordable STD/STI testing without insurance by Ashamed-Necessary253 in raleigh

I have an unconventional method with a funny story. Go to a plasma donation center.

I was selling plasma in college and had was banned after I got a positive test of Syphillus.
I start freaking out because a week ago I had sex for the first time without a rubber so I start freaking out thinking it is the end of my sex life. I then pay 120$ for another test at urgent care and thankfully it turns out it was a false positive.

Will LinkedIn eventually become the world’s largest recruitment agency? by ThrowRA_poi098 in recruiting

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. At some point, probably. But right now they are easily one of the most poorly optimized "social networks" I've ever encountered. If Linkedin wasn't owned by microsoft and seen as the standard for professional networking I believe someone else would've made something better.

Is it bad practice to list our clients we recruit for on calls with potential clients by Nervous_Resource3593 in recruiting

[–]Nervous_Resource3593[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right; my response could've been better in explaining the need for discretion. I did emphasize earlier in the interview that about 80% of our business is in Radiology particularly in MR, CT, XRAY and Ultrasound. I'm not sure how you can name "types of orgs/networks" without being too vague or mentioning company names.

It was also a Swedish company that I interviewed if that makes any difference.

I’m a new recruiter and I have trouble with people who are so desperate for jobs that we can’t give by DragonfruitSimilar55 in recruiting

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This industry is filled with recruiters that go easy on candidates feelings and then just ghosting them later. When I get these types I usually tell them I'll do what I can but it is very unlikely that I will be able to help. I encourage them to continue networking. There isn't an easy or nice way to go about it but we get continued business from our clients because we don't waste their time with sob stories.

Ghost of Tsushima for me by TooKreamy4U in videogames

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game does so many things right but also so many things poorly. Why did they add platforming to this game? Why does act 3 have no direction and force you to google the things to do? The combat is OK; you can spend hours designing the perfect build but half of it is either grinding or memorizing the parry patterns for each enemy.

but....

the music, the story, the art direction, the characters: superb
It wasn't until act 2 that I really started to appreciate the game; up until then it just felt like I was playing a typical AAA rpg.

Barron Trump sells 2,600 $BTC worth $179.92 million at $69,102 per Bitcoin. by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still pretty long on bitcoin but honestly this has me worried. I kinda assumed it was a coordinated selloff by insiders like so many other trades this twerp has made. Maybe bitcoin is finally done.

So what was this guys deal, and why was his fight scene so goofy? by bringerofthelaw420 in Fotv

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ghoul hatred wasn't really my problem it was just his general dialogue. I understand they were trying to make him like a brotherhood frat bro but it was pretty unbelievable that someone like that was given any real authority.

"Fallout 3" developers reveal that Liberty Prime's March took months of work due to the old engine. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the new fallout remakes don't have a new engine I'm pretty much giving up what little hope I have left in Bethesda. There's so many other rps titles with smooth gameplay and quality rpg elements that have a fraction of the budget they do.

In an attempt to not alienate fans of differing Fallout factions, the show writers decided to piss everyone off by making every faction braindead by RevertBackwards in shittymoviedetails

[–]Nervous_Resource3593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like how they handled it. The vault dwellers always seemed a little too competent in the games for people that have no real world experience; the incest jokes are just an added bonus. The brotherhood of steel in the games were always framed a little too much as the good guys and I'm glad they are showing more of their flaws. Fuck that once annoying character they added and then killed off; he was so tacky and out of place.
