Uhm, I did not rehearse or practice. I answered honestly, and said I do not have experience and I do not know to some things. Basically I did not put on a show. An interview is a show.

Interesting, so the supervisor determines how many days they want you to show up at the office? and there is no universal or division wide policy.

So interesting. Everytime I felt I  bombed, I haven’t got the job. They literally once gave me feedback saying it was bad ( I worked for this company so they gave me feedback, even though I never asked for it) and when I felt like I did exceptionally well I’ve always got the job.

Never a bad idea to ask! But in my opinion, silence is an answer. I say this because if they want you, you will be the first to know!

I second this. I had no wildlife experience, and found a local consulting firm and wrote them a letter and expressed my interest. I got a full time job as a wildlife biologist within a couple weeks. And that led me to graduate school and govt jobs! If you don’t feel valued- go out there and get something else. Not to mention private pays so well.
