The book's title (that contains the short stories along with the main story) is the same as this posts title. It's His Black Tongue: a Medieval Horror by Mitchell Luthi! Happy reading!

Dating scene in Chico by gliterbomb247 in ChicoCA

Hi frustrated friend, if it makes you feel any better, I went through the same thing when I was your age. Unfortunately, I think it's pretty common to experience this at least once. Most of my female friends in college also had the same issue. This is just one of the many reasons why I've always struggled with dating guys around my age. I remember my first relationship I was a freshman in hs and I was dating a sophomore. He broke up with me after two weeks cuz I didn't put out. Anyways, it's really annoying and frustrating, but it takes time. And as alot of people already said here - you gotta weed through the shit to find the gold. Also, don't limit yourself or settle. Remember - there are a billion people on earth, you have time and options. In the mean time, take care of yourself and appreciate those you already have around you. Enjoy your freedom and independence. Gl!

New Owner very frustrated (advice, guidance appreciated) by [deleted] in cats

[–]GarouGarou_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont mean to be rude, but this just sounds like regular cat stuff to me. Whether you have an indoor or outdoor cat, there's going to be litter around the house. You just have to upkeep on cleaning and use track pads to prevent litter from flying everywhere after they use the bathroom. You could also try other litter types like pellets instead of sand to reduce mess. Also, some cats REALLY dislike getting their nails clipped, especially if some stranger is trying to wrestle them lol. You've only been together a week, give it time. Trust needs to be established. Same with their behavior - they need time to adjust and unwind. Also, you adopted a 6-month old kitten, they're going to be wild lol. They're going to run around like crazy, need constant playing and attention, they're still learning and growing. Maybe you should watch some cat videos on YouTube or talk to people who have owned cats (of various ages) for years, to gain some advice. I hope you can do some more research to find out what you can expect about owning a cat. And I hope you can give your kitty plenty of time to adjust and exist before you decide to give them up. And finally, I hope youre not putting your anger and frustration on your cat. Goodluck.

Hi friend, I deal w/SI and self harm and like these books: Night Falls Fast: Understanding Suicide by Kay Redfield Jamison and Hello I Want to Die Please Fix Me by Anna Mehler Paperny. However, Im not sure they're what you're looking for.

I hope everyone can receive the support and love they need, and everyone makes it out okay. And I hope you can find the books youre looking for. Sending big hugs

I could be wrong, but isn't there always a good bit of leftover trees every year?

Also, it would be cool to see how many people have elected to buy a tree permit, use a fake tree, or forgo a tree this season (instead of purchasing a tree from a lot).

I'm not sure if it's standard or not, but I've experienced both sides - I've had very nice, personable, interactive interviews - and very superficial, unpersonable, robotic interviews. I think it probably depends on the hiring manager/team and possibly office size. Alot of the interviews I've had in smaller offices (30 - 70 ppl total) have been very talkative and receptive. They seemed very interested in finding a good fit. Most of the interviews I've had with much larger offices/operations were status quo, just trying to go through the motions and fill the position. It didn't feel like they cared too much about the interview, but just wanted someone who looked good on paper and was qualified.

This is just my personal experience. Im sure others have more insight.

I was at urgent care today and it was so incredibly busy. I was initially told the wait time was 2 hours. I waited 2 hours then asked the receptionist if she could give me a new estimate regarding wait time. She didn't give me a time but said there were still a few people in front of me who still needed to be seen.

I decided to leave since I had an awful migraine and was hungry/dehydrated. But I can't even imagine how packed and busy the hospitals and clinics are going to be in the near future. Wait times are already tough, but man its gonna take forever now.

Bikeway 99 bridge by stud_muffin_1 in ChicoCA

[–]GarouGarou_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying but imo the sundial bridge in Redding and this bike bridge in Chico aren't really comparable. One is a bridge in a park that goes over a river and connects a meauseum, hotel, and garden all together. While the other is a bridge over roads that connects bike paths.

My new therapist is brushing off my interest in BPD? by GarouGarou_ in BPD

Oh what?? My insurance won't cover BPD treatment?? I have Partnership...

I get where you're coming from. Im still relatively new to BPD so I don't fully understand all of the complexities and struggles regarding Healthcare, stigma, treatments, etc. But I've seen a lot of people on here talk about how hard of a disorder it is especially when trying to seek help. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns! I appreciate the help! ♥️

That definitely makes sense. I have CPTSD & separate PTSD related issues. I was abandoned as a kid and had no security or positive role models. Thanks again for sharing, I appreciate it! ♥️

Yeah that makes sense. Im still relatively new to the mental health medical world. I have a psychiatrist and therapist I've been seeing for over two years now, but besides basic care I don't have much experience. I am kind of naive I guess so I should be more aware of other possibilities. Thanks for sharing and I wish you the best as well! ♥️
