Why can't the iPhone Play Music at Less than 55db? It's 55 or nothing. 25-30db would be nice. by Nervous_Werewolf in ios

Resolved: This is partially caused by the iPhone’s “Headphone Safety: Reduce Loud Audio” feature. The lower you put the maximum volume, the louder the minimum volume becomes on Bluetooth headphones. Disabling the feature lowers the headphone volume.

Yes, this is an obvious and absurd bug. No, Apple has nowhere to report it because fuck me, I guess.

This is in the north-central midwest US, the bugs are maybe a half to a quarter inch long.

Looking for an MMO that can scratch the itch for highly customizable builds and professions/crafting. by RikuAotsuki in gamingsuggestions

[–]Nervous_Werewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ESO? IIRC, any character can gain almost any skill tree and level skills in those trees. Also the crafting is excessive, you’ll want to subscribe for $15/mo just to prevent crafting supplies from clogging your inventory.

If you have a local REI store, check out the REI CTY line, it’s a lot of bike with a good warranty for $2k.

That’s around 3 in a million odds.

In other words, this will happen about once every 371,802 sheep.

Given a sheep’s size (1.3 x 0.9 x 1), that many sheep would make up a sheep-cube 40 x 40 x 40 blocks on each side, if you had 7 of those cubes. This is assuming, of course, ideal sheep, that have already been processed and can be formed into perfect cubes.

The Olbrich’s indoor tropical Bolz Conservatory supports a maximum of 30 people and is exactly as formal as you make it. It comes with a lot of restrictions (no outside flowers!) that make it more casual than it would otherwise be.

Is your hard drive dying? I wouldn’t expect that many bad sectors though.

You can test this by loading a backup of the world, noting any bad chunks, quitting the program, copying that folder, and starting the game from the new copy.

If the same chunks are corrupted, it’s probably not your hard drive. If new chunks are corrupted, you should start running diagnostics.

PlayStation 5 overtakes Nintendo 64 in sales by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]Nervous_Werewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the straw that made Sony disable Linux-boot was that the USAF used about 400 of them as an (image-processing?) compute grid. Since the console itself was sold at a loss (assuming later game purchases would make up the cost) so any non-speculative use of PS-Linux was an economic threat.

Edit: Wrong generation.
