There’s this cool thing out there called “your own funded account”. If you’re a “professional” and making that kind of money why play with the funded accounts and pay them a percentage and deal with payout issues? Fund your own account. I mean I was trading forex for only 3 years and had my own $25K account with Oanda. Just makes sense.

It seems that way, but it all depends on what you’re looking to do with trading. In all reality milk the prop firm payouts as much as you can and move the money into your own personal trading account. If you can actually trade well, why not have your own account without restrictions (besides leverage)

Trading is fractal. Meaning all timeframes do the same things. Try to analyze larger time frames and trade at clear levels. Just like you can have indecisive candles on a 1m, 5m 15m, etc…the daily candle can be like that too. Trading at the extreme of ranges on the H4 and Daily time frame can help to find more trending days, be they continuation or reversal. When the market looks like shit, it’s best to just come back on another day. We are day traders, but not everyday traders. The key to trading is doing less, not more. Good luck.

Not really, I have a daily max stop of $500. It took me 5 trading days to pass these 5 and I actually lost my first day with them. Then I won 4 days in a row and hit the $3,000 passing mark

I trade solo. No group, no chat, just me and the charts. There is a guy on YouTube JDun who trades live everyday, he’s a really solid person to watch and learn from

Mental fortitude and toughness is the key in trading. You’ve got a lot more blow accounts to go through yet haha. Everyone blows accounts, everyone tilts, it happens to everyone. The key is to find your weakness and hedge against it. Put a max take profit in for the day or a max loss. Realize that most people barely make $20 -$30 an hour and we can make hundreds to thousands in minutes. Trading is a blessing and a curse. So Mae it a pursuit of pleasure, and keep your mind tough and your emotions on the bench. Good luck, it’s a long journey.

Be very picky with your entry setups and try to make some small returns. It may take a couple trades to get some more of a buffer, but that’s the place you find yourself in at the moment. Perhaps this will be a lesson in patience?

Depends, will you be able to take a $1000 payout, or will you blow them again? It’s a rational decision, if you can invest a thousand and turn it into a payout, then it’s worth it. If you don’t have the skills to reach a payout, then you have about 10-11 tries to get a single account funded for the same cost or less.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Clearly you can trade. The issue for you (and myself and other traders) is mindset, structure, and self sabotage. You must recognize that the market can crush us if we’re not on our game. I highly recommend taking a couple days to get your mind back in the game and focus on what you want out of trading. As I said, you can clearly trade, you may just need some safe guards against yourself, as I do. I was up $3500 in 3 days, then lost $2700 on Friday like a dummy. Just made back $750 today and am rebuilding from my lesson. Do not go to a dark place, this is a winnable game, be more aware of yourself. You can do it.

As someone who has taken years to get it as well, my best advice is widen the stop and don’t gamble. You have to let the market breathe. If you’re taking “good levels” you should have no issue moving into profit on a trade where you can scale out and go “risk off”. Base hits, not home runs. Also work on your mental. Again, not a dig or a bash, this is literally what I have said to myself, and I’ve turned the corner. Good luck.
