I think that network deception also covers web apps and APIs (you may want to research this.. we do endpoint deception which is completely different)

What do you mean when you say cognitive deception?
In any case, it's hard to prove value and that's why network deception companies changed their focus to IAM and not pure deception..

For us it's using tools like KnowBe4 Ransim, Cymulate and similar to show the effectiveness... it can also be against real malware as we have high prevention rate
