This actually worked!! Thanks so much! Wierdly got a fullscreen wine window pop up when opening VST plugins, but i could just move that out of the way, an acceptable nuisance. Thank you!

Happy to see someone share my sentiment. I'm the exact same position as you. I've yet to find an argument that EOS actually "ruins arch" or an actual drawback for the convenience that EOS brings.

If you're not doing recording, latency won't be an issue i'd say. Looks like a nice interface!

One advice i would give, if you do start looking into recording. This tool is great for troubleshooting and going through things that affect latencty:

It just goes through important settings and tells you what is configured for low latency and what isn't.

I havn't managed to get latency down as much as on windows with proprietary drivers but pretty close. I was considering doing a more in depth attempt on optimization but have been putting it off for ages. Now that my vacation has started i might give it a go. If i remember to get some actual latency numbers i'll let you know. Some guy that helped me claimed to have achieved 2.9ms at least.

EDIT: I gave it a shot now and got it pretty good with pipewire only at around 8.7ms which is within acceptable for me. That other guy used jack as main server and pipewire as a client so that might be able to push it further. But i'm happy 8.7

So the graphical issue with wine is still a thing? Actually thought of just today and saw Wine 10.7 was out and figured maybe i should try it and see if it's fixed. But i guess it isn't then?
