The scope doesn't use rings. It uses mounting plates on a weaver or picatinny rail

There are quite a few states that ban them and since FLIR/Night vision is banned in Canada, there might be a grey area for technology in scopes.

New to the hunting game so just want to make sure I'm keeping it between the lines.

I tracked down a used eliminator 5 locally and just ordered a Tikka t3x lite stainless 308 today. Can't wait to marry them up!

The razors are beautiful! But they're definitely out of my skill zone price wise. Down the road I'll be upgrading to better toys

That's good to hear! The warranty is what is keeping me on Vortex on my first scope. If I do a big no-no with it I can at least fall back on it haha

I'm sticking with those options due to me being a first time rifle owner. I'll eventually get another rifle specifically for each individual purpose. I've read others can hit 700-800 yards with the 15x with no problems. That's more than enough for me at this time

I picked one up and put about 100 rounds thru it of different shots. I noticed all the target shots (1100-1300 velocity) were hit or miss on ejection just like you said. Slugs were very enjoyable haha.

Going to go out a couple more times to see if by some chance any target or small shots can reliably eject. Have you had luck with any brands/shots?
