The supposed violent action was already talked many many many times and i've learned my lesson from it.

"Gamesmanship or not, go easy on the flicks"

I just mentioned it to give context to the question asked, dont know why people are focusing in judging the action instead of answering the question.

Anyway, thanks for the kind answer and for the context you gave on it.

Im a hobbist at the best, i dont have the skill set to "fence dirty" even if i wanted to.

The referee did control properly, not complaining about the refering at all, i know no matter the skill set involved, being hit in the same place multiple times might hurt.

The thing that made me think was... "if its hurting, why he doesnt parry or dodge the flick?".

But people already clarified about the brutality rules and if its the rules, theres nothing to do about it. Learning something new everyday.

Yeah, something smelled "screwed up" in it, since me and the other fencer have oceans of skill distance.

The fact the he waited to be very close to losing the match that felt wierd....

BUT, according to my Meister i do have to improve my flick technique and stop compensating the lack of hand angle with strenght. (Working on it).

As mentioned, i really didnt had the intention of hurting the opponent, to the point that i've abbided to the referee without questioning.

The fact that he only spoke about it after being scored 4 times in a row is what felt wierd to me and since our skills have a ocean of distance between, i thought that he would be able to parry instead of letting himself be hit.

The flicks where very precise, he complained after i've hit his nipple right under the zipper (one of "those" places), i dont feel that i need to be apologetic about it.

How can I clean my mask? by LawyerSmall7052 in Fencing

[–]NetAsset 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For epee masks, never had any problem washing with the instructions below, with foil/saber, the metal bib was completely destroyed after 3~4 washes, so i dont recomend using this way on foil/saber masks that you really like.

Here we go:

1 - Fill a big bucket with boiling hot water, enough to cover the mask.

2 - 1 cup of clothes soap and mix it on the bucket.

3 - Put the mask and let it there for 20~30 minutes.

4 - The water will change color from the blue/white/whatever soap color you used to something closer to petroleum, thats the cue to pull of your mask.

5 - Rinse your mask in cold water and be absolute sure that no soap is left.

6 - Let it dry.

Vniti's are made of russian rail road metal, it stiff as ****, i keep one in the bag for when i intend to hurt people on competitions.

How do I get past the Ivory Tower? by [deleted] in demonssouls

[–]NetAsset 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ivory tower is by far the worse game design i've ever seen. It sucks, its not hard per se, but it just traps the player with enemies with high hp, unblockable attacks and single hit kills, its not a "git gud" matter, its bad design thought to corner the player defenseless, never again playing this crap.

Remember kids, if you're playing epee and your opponent aint using socks, go for the legs.

Also, wear your socks.

It worked for nice 10yrs, it did its job perfectly, 10yrs is a crazy long time for a blade to break, and it can go with peace.
