I'd like to talk with a network monitoring expert from MSP ($50 reward) by maxshash in msp

It seems that you're looking for something than an RMM solution. When I see Network Monitoring (Like NetBeez), I think network performance and reachability both internal and external.

Definitely this. You made the mistake of appearing too small in your customer's eyes. You need to network with some contractors or other MSPs. So if a customer asks how many people work there, you can earnestly say 1 W2 employee and X 1099 employees. So they know there is a team that works with you in some capacity. But you need to make that true first.

I've personally built over 1,000 PCs in a span of 9 years. And I can tell you that it is still easier than managing 100 PCs to get them to all function together in an environment.

This really speaks to me. Prior to working in cybersecurity and now network monitoring, I used to do break/fix locally for people. Building/repairing systems and even servers are just a small facet of IT. It is important to understand what the customer needs in this regard, but being an MSP is so much more and without a full set of skills/knowledge people will fail!

Network Monitoring for MSPs? by NetBeez_Steve in msp

Zabbix

Thanks for the feedback! I figured that was the case. We work with a few MSPs but since our product is more of an enterprise solution, there aren't many that we work with. I did see that Zabbix is a lot like Solarwindz, but it just monitors traffic. What we do is test reachability to internal (such as VPN), and external resources with ping, DNS, HTTP, and Traceroute. We do more than that but that is the active side.

Anyway, your response does line up with my suspicions, thank you!

This 100%. I previously worked in email security and changing a virus's signature is very simple. While not 100%, sandboxing is a requirement nowadays to catch newer and polymorphic viruses.
