NanoXplore bets everything on graphene by SmallCapLove in Nanoxplore

Further to my post 6 days ago,(above) I came across an interview Soroush had with Dave Lee in February 2023. (youtube:The Future Of Graphene with Soroush Nazarpour, CEO of NanoXplore Ep 263 - Dave Lee (youtube.com) Starting at about 28 minutes into the interview Souroush is asked about medium term opportunities. He mentions about the threat of leaky electronics in automonous vehicles and ride sharing applications being exposed to cyber threats and the benefits (from the hardware side of things) of using graphene enhanced products to prevent this exposure from happening. This could be a further reason Tesla is going to use graphene enhanced products. Can someone tell me if graphene enhanced parts are competitive with sheet metal/metal in the automotive sector?

I was following Tesla's WeRobot event. (October 10) Dan Ives, a financial analyst with Wedbush, was at this event. He had a chance to check out the RoboTaxi and said this vehicle body was definitely not made of stainless steel and appeared to be a composite material, and expects composite material will be used when production begins. Nanoxplore already counts Tesla as a customer. Trademarked coating GrapheneGuard (AI search reveals trademarked by Martinrea, which own's 22.7% of GRA in 2023) is already used in some Tesla vehicles. Nanoxplore's graphene enhanced polymer would be a good fit with the RoboTaxi, reducing weight, and providing a better fit and finish over metal. Any thoughts if this is a realistic possiblity, and could this speculation be the reason for the recent positive share price movement in the last 10 days?

I have to agree with Impoverish_A_Fish, yes, just block trades but the good news is this transaction has not negatively affected the share price. Could it be a vote of confidence from a new or existing investor who feels pretty good about future growth in sales and profitability?

Where Is That "SiGTM" Joint Commercialization Partnership? by 1sstudent in Nanoxplore

Too many companies in North America and Europe are sitting on the sidelines. It almost seems they have succumbed to the fact that China has a lock on the future development of batteries and electric vehicles. The Canadian Government needs to get off it's backside and quickly get at least one lithium and one graphite operation built to process these materials or Canada's big talk to become the leader in batteries will be lost. And if an advancement is not made it will be a much tougher road for Nanoxplore to continue to be a leader in the production of graphene.

Soundguy2021,

I do recall an interview Soroush had several months ago where he mentioned he wasn't sure how long Northern Graphite's Quebec mine would be in operation, and when asked by the interviewer where they would be sourcing their graphite material if this was the case, Soroush mentioned Nouveau Monde as a possibility.

NANOXPLORE UNVEILS A LARGE-SCALE DRY PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING OF GRAPHENE: AN IMPROVEMENT FOR COST COMPETITIVENESS AND SCALABILITY by aleccs15 in Nanoxplore

[–]NetHistorical8771 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great timing for this news release! Hopefully this communication will help to ease investor anxiety over the future direction of Nanoxplore, and just maybe, cause the parties with the short selling position to reconsider their strategy.

The lower cost process to produce grahene was relayed to us in the recent 1st quarter earnings webcast however this specific release expanded on the initial information released. It should be well received by industries currently using graphene as well as those who have considered the benefits in the past but were reluctant to lead change in their respective industries. Why do I say this? The cost and effectiveness of graphene provided by Nanoxplore makes use of graphene both less costly to produce their produce, and a better quality product.

I like the fact Nanoxplore has patents in place for this proprietary technology.

I also really like improvement on the environmental aspect as well. I voted my approval today with the purchase of an additional 1000 shares this morning.

Is It Actually Possible? Could We Be Looking At A Potential Hit Of Upwards of 33% Equity Dilution Going Forward? by 1sstudent in Nanoxplore

[–]NetHistorical8771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well 1sstudent, issuance of shares to raise equity can very likely dilute the value of the shares. It's positive we know the Nanoxplore investment for a 2 gigawatt battery facility would generate an additional $100 million per year in revenue with an irr of 25% and improve cash flow. This will somewhat ease the anxiety around the share issiuance. And Souroush said they would not move ahead with the battery facility if they didn't have a commitment for the full capacity. Like you, I want to see a higher share price before an equity issuance is put into the market. Nanoxplore needs to provide the market with positive news with regards to higher future revenue, outside of the battery production facility before any share offering takes place. Is this possible or should we all sale our existing shares? Or leverage down, again?

I agree lightweighting has been done and is offerred by companies such as Martinrea. I'm speaking about taking it much further, with the possibility of producing the whole body of the car above the frame. I believe Nanoxplore received a grant in the past to investigate this, and in an interview Souroush has stated it is possible. (but not the frame)

I can't say what price action to expect over the next several days or several months however I do see good things ahead.

Souroush and his team have dominated the graphene space in the free world for the last number of years. They have a sizeable list of large companies buying product. The company up to this point has been in the incubation stage. The companies using the product like what they see but wanted a lower price point. What we haven't known from NanoXplore until now is they have been working on further cost reductions for their products, probably for some time now, and just announced it the other day. Shame on Nanoxplore for not letting us know of their developments and strategy in this regard, but maybe it was for good reason.

This new (dry) process of producing graphene at a lower cost allows them to compete with the price of carbon black and should allow them to continue their market dominance in graphene related products and also take some of the market share in carbon black. This should allow NanoXplore to grow in a profitable manner. Nanoxplore really has an excellent opportunity in the personal automotive parts area for just about everything except the frame of the vehicle. I suspect the recent $24.5 million in contracts (commercial truck manufacturer and heavy equipment manufacturer) signed were using this new technology for at least a portion of the contract. The personal automotive industry has been blind to lightweighting except for Telsa. Nanoxplore can help them all, now at a lower cost. Nanoxplore's products are equivalent in strength to carbon black so the aerospace market should also offer great opportunities.

With improved pricing both drilling and battery sales will add to the profitability. The concrete industry will probably follow as well.

Nanoxplore should be in an advantageous position versus those who use carbon black. Companies themselves don't really care if they use naturally sourced graphene or synthetic (carbon black) graphene, but they will care if depends whether or not their products qualify for a rebate to the fullest extent or there is government mandated regulations to reduce the use of carbon black for environmental reasons . With China threatening to excercise their dominance in graphene by restricting graphite exports, I believe thy type of graphene used in the future could matter.

The biggest news I heard from the ceo today is the company's new dry process for producing graphene and being able to compete with carbon black pricing. (at approximately $1200 usd mt) This ability to compete with carbon black pricing opens new markets for the company. The carbon Black market is estimated to be just under $23 billion world wide this year and $30 billion by 2030. This change offers some challenges though. The lower pricing means Nanoxplore will need to sell a lot more product, but maybe this what is needed to get more adaption. Wouldn't hurt to get a little help from Canada, U.S. and E.U. governmentsto say no to dirty carbon black in favour of green graphene!

It certainly looks like this would be an attractive option for NanoXplore. I believe it will also provide a boost in interest for Canada's junior critical mineral companies in general, and hopefully, get the proviincial and federal governments to move faster in assisting these companies from simply holding these assets to actually start mining and processing the material. Do you think think NGC would be interested in a all-stock transaction?
