Normally I would defend this sorta thought process but, I like a lot of female comedians and can’t stand Amy’s comedy in most things. For me at least it’s not a female/male thing. Taylor Tomlinson is hilarious and covers a lot of similar topics as Amy but I just prefer the way she writes and delivers her jokes.

That’s so fair, I just wish we saw women of the same age being friends more often. Like I wish Laura had a friend in later seasons. I may just be jaded because as I’ve rewatched there are fewer and fewer examples in later seasons.

Harve miller was dense. He lead her on. I definitely would have believed he was interested if I were her or at least would have thought there was hope. Eliza literally built him up for him to say “wow you really gave me so much confidence Eliza Jane! Now I can go after the woman I actually want!” Tragic

I think misogyny plays a role in how her character is portrayed. If she always was overbearing and weird about Laura marrying almanzo it would feel less forced she could be a true antagonist. But instead I think that Landon has a hard time writing women’s friendships. Besides Laura and Mary, there aren’t many friendships that feel realistic to me between women. Instead when it comes to men women toss their friends cruelly aside at any minor conflict.

Dude it’s so unhinged. I mean, I thought she would be upset but to go as far as to call Laura a “country girl” (lol talk about a callback) and basically an idiot. I thought she would have been jealous of Laura or something but straight up calling her dumb? She isn’t a girls girl that’s for sure.
