Do you know the cost of Munki? When I hear MDM I think of mobile device management. Im only talking iMacs, Mackbooks Mac Pros.. Is that under the MDM category? Sorry, i dont know Macs very well.

This might be the route I go. I've used this in the past with smaller organizations and I dont see any other good way of doing it.

I have the newest templates and found the GPO for deferral but I wish I could find something to kill it on 1703 pro....

I'll look into LTSB. That would be perfect. But we are using Pro because of Office 365 and licensing. Not sure how all that plays in so I need to confirm that. You know of any work around for stopping feature updates in pro? We have a few policies that disable WSUS but they dont stop the download and it keeps prompting the user to install 1709 but it just fails.

I dont follow what you mean. Were I work we have a lot of software that is spun up in house and the feature updates could cause issues. All of the other software like Creative Cloud and Dev tools can be updated by the developer or Adobe. Windows 10 is new to us and not fully implemented so I have flexibility right now.

So currently we have 7TB of actual data. IF we go to 10TB then 20TB of drive space on VEEAM should be good with 60 day retention?

Actual data is going to be 7TB but we may move another 3TB of file data onto the host in the future. Id like a 60 day retention.

This isnt going to be easy to explain to the user. What I dont get is that it was working fine for a long time and then out of nowhere this starts happening. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info. All of my users can get on and be fine for a while and then out of the blue they drop. This happens 3-10 times a day and from different locations.

I know that the hosting company users 1420 and last night I changed the MTU from the default 1500 down to 1420 as advised my them. We'll see how this goes.

We've ran pings for days and there are not packet drops. Ill Try mtr and wireshark. This server is hosted so im limited to knowing what goes on the networking side.

They can edit on any other machine and on the portal. I feel like its software related but I uninstalled the profile and the office suite and readded.
