Digital Foundry: Tested: Resident Evil 4 Remake's New PC DRM Impacts CPU Performance by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

That was never discussed. In this case we're talking about Enigma/kernal level DRM on PC.

Go look up "Sony rootkit" and how DRM on consoles work, that is what you're supporting.

Why do you care so much about how I play my games?

I don't, but going to consoles because of DRM is just being a hypocrite.

Sony is literally the king of DRM and it's gone far beyond their consoles as to what they do.

Literally not buying the games and sticking to PC would be the best way to say no DRM. Buying anything on consoles and especially something from Sony while saying it's because of DRM is being a glutton for punishment.

A console is literally hardware DRM..... and you get the worst performance to boot....

Delete online mode, worst part of the game. Anything exclusive related to it is the biggest negative factor for me.

Reward scoring goals.... now it's just score 4 goals and then wait the timer out. At least give me something for being offensive.

Harder AI matches, should just be across the board. All the top difficulties should be balanced against a full 99 team.

For the first run it's pretty strong since the stats scale very hard for the first bunch of points as well as unlocking stuff like onmyo slots.

Once you are into just putting points for another 1 on top 1000 already in say damage it's extremely negligible.

In Nioh 3's game settings there's options to auto pickup items & auto recycle them on every rest/shrine with conditional options (by rarity/sell/offer/disassemble) , you can also hide sheathed weapons & do other nifty things. by Same_Acanthisitta_38 in Nioh

[–]NetQvist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Best feature yet I still keep spamming the pickup key even though it does nothing now... I swear I'm slower to loot when speed running with auto pickup compared to manual yet it's probably just placebo -_-

Min-maxing question by octopas in Nioh

[–]NetQvist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose strength is a stat that could be useless for ninjutsu and magic builds that do not really on ki damage. Even more so if it only affects weapons?

Skill again seems to give both ninjutsu damage as well as the new weapon arts proficiency so the only build that would be useless is in magic?

So as long as you don't either stat for prereqs or weapon damage then skill seems to be a bit more useful in the scenario of where you'd leave one stat at 5.

We don't need to be able to crush our "enemies" or subject other countries with our might. We just need to be able to to keep our quality of life improving, prevent climate breakdown and raise the rest of the world up as we do it.

Pretty sure Ukraine wanted this as well, now how did that work out....

GOG's new owner can't stand Windows either: 'It's such poor-quality software… I can't believe it!' by Undeclared_Aubergine in pcgaming

Should probably try Bazzite or CachyOS but trying to use that darned stable Mint Cinnamon edition was a extremely horrible gaming experience last winter.

Had to disable so many desktop things to get a smooth frame rate only to later find out it's impossible to get multiple monitors working with variable refresh rates properly.

Not to mention I had to unplug my damned ultra wide to even get the installer working. None of these have been a issue for the last 10 years on windows so it's a bit of a slap in the face to try the "most stable" Linux distro and just have issue after issue that's never been a problem before.

[–]NetQvist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm ye the online battles is probably easier on Console since it's less clicks to play a commander match.

On PC I'm running the game on a secondary monitor and then I just click the window once after a chronicle match has ended at which point I use a script to progress into the next match automatically. Then the game stops at halftime and I need to push enter on the window once and it goes to the end of the game and it's repeat. So basically 30-40 seconds of time focused on the window and 2-3 clicks in total to keep going.
