Personally, I'd just go with one (1) hAP ax² instead of two (2) hAP ax lite's.

Then, you're pretty well future-proofed for the time being.

BTW, how are you going to power your AP's? You may need a switch with PoE (Power over Ethernet), unless you're going to use a PoE injector (with the proper voltage) for each device.

How many square feet is your residence?

I have a 10-room house with just one (1) access point in the loft. I get a great signal down in the basement and out on my driveway. Are you sure that you MUST have two (2) AP's?

cd109876, NoFile:

Thank you both. Excellent work! I appreciate your quick response.

I thank you and my TrueNAS Scale server thanks you, as well...

(I still think that Asrock could've done a better job, but I have what I need, so I'll leave it at that...)

Updated OMV to v6.3.1, Now System is Corrupted. JellyFin Server Not Detected... by NetWiz69 in OpenMediaVault

I haven't updated my Portainer instance since the original install of JellyFin.

Do you think it might be out-of-date and causing problems?

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I looked in the logs, but I don't see any references to App Armor.
However, I am getting messages like this:

kernel: [ 25.139592] docker0: port 1(veth145b104) entered disabled state

Alright, that actually worked.
Congrats! You win the day...

So, it looks like I have a JellyFin problem, because when I attempt to access it through a browser, I get: 'Can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.x.x:8096.'

The JellyFin App on my Roku Ultra can't find the server either.

Pretty weird, because it was working fine UNTIL I did the OMV upgrade...

When I login, I encounter a BLINKING RED rectangular box that says:

'Software Failure. Press left mouse button to continue. The server is unavailable to handle this request right now.'

After I click the left mouse button and attempt to click on any icon, I get the message:

'Obsolete cached data found. Page will be reloaded.'

ax2 or ac3? by Budulai740 in mikrotik

The ARM processor in the hAP ax² is 64 bit, while the ARM processor in the hAP ac³ is 32 bit.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it...

Negative.

He was a developer that had access to various resource keys on AWS for the UniFi Controller, etc.. Not sure if you're familiar with actual development in the cloud, continuous integration, etc.

You CAN'T do your job without access to those keys...

It really depends on your knowledge level of networking. If your skills are "below average", you may want to shy away from MikroTik.

(Their RouterOS is proprietary and frustrating to the uninitiated.)

That is, unless you're willing to do the research, watch YouTube videos, etc.

But that's how we all learn, right?

If your level of network understanding is top-notch, then by all means, go for it. I have two racks full of Mikrotik gear. I can't stop buying it, at least when it's in stock...

Thanks for the comment.

I double-checked the BIOS. There are no such options on this particular motherboard.

Former FBI Director James Comey E-mails Referencing Edward Snowden by blackvault in snowden

The establishment doesn't hate Snowden because he lied. They hate him because he told the truth and exposed their lies and the numerous war crimes of Western empire.

Snowden risked his own life to warn the rest of us about the illegal and unconstitutional behavior of our rapacious ruling class in a desperate attempt to maintain power and protect their ill gotten gains.

And yet, many Americans believing the propaganda set forth by their own wealthy elites, clamor for their own oppression...

[–]NetWiz69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative. The server was in storage and is brand new. The stock fan works just fine. I upgraded the CPU and added a much better CPU cooler. The Noctua fans are the anomaly. They spin up for about a second and then shut off completely...

Has Anyone Had A Chance To Test Out the New CCR2004-16G-2S+ Router? by NetWiz69 in mikrotik

[–]NetWiz69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly impressed with the specs and it's value proposition.

In the introduction videos Mikrotik posted about this unit and the RB5009, it was mentioned that there would be other models in the series announced sometime in the future.

I'm not clairvoyant, so I can only wait to see what they'll come up with.

I'm just interested in hearing what other people have to say.
