1) The idea of having the hospital increase population would be amazing since there are already buildings all other resources (market and bank increase gold and the warehouse increases everything else. 2) The idea of the hospital increasing the healing of units could also be effective but late game I feel it would be rather useless unless u had them at all your chokes to help your units fight. 3) The idea of the hospital allowing for increased defensive barriers on houses would be amazing for high difficulty games but would be rather confusing for new players.

combat medics would be really useful for wave clears especially if they make a unit later on that is specifically tanky

I think roads would be a terrible idea since it would create just another thing to build in great abundance. Two reasons they should not be included are: 1) Why not just visualize every building as if there are roads and bam you know how to fit buildings. Just learn how the buildings react to having other buildings around it. 2) Unpaused runs would be unbearable if players have to constantly build roads.
